Congrats on your first pregnancy and [name]Welcome[/name] to Nameberry!
BOYS
[name]Adam[/name] - A fine Biblical classic that I don’t hear very often.
[name]Benjamin[/name]- Popular but a great name nonetheless!
[name]Brody[/name] - trendy and unappealing.
[name]Calvin[/name] - A geek-chic name that has vintage charm
[name]Dexter[/name]- Ok but not a fave of mine.
[name]Lincoln[/name] - A trendy name but one that has a noble and majestic quality due to [name]Abraham[/name]. [name]One[/name] of the best Presidential names by far!
[name]Walter[/name] - Much prefer this old-fashioned name than [name]Dexter[/name]. [name]Walt[/name] is a great nn too!
Faves: [name]Adam[/name], [name]Benjamin[/name], [name]Calvin[/name], [name]Lincoln[/name] and [name]Walter[/name].
GIRLS
[name]Abigail[/name] - [name]One[/name] of my favourite Biblical names for girls.
[name]Calliope[/name] - Ok but I’ve been seeing it a lot on the name websites lately.
[name]Caroline[/name]- A lovely classic that is timeless.
[name]Emily[/name] - Never a fave of mine and it’s been so popular for ages. I prefer [name]Emilia[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name] much more.
[name]Kaylee[/name] - I dislike this cutesy name. I don’t think of it as a name. For me, it’s more like two popular sounds stuck together (kay and lee). It lacks substance, history and depth. I don’t think it ages as well as some of your other choices.
[name]Lily[/name] - A popular flower name but it’s pretty.
[name]Margaret[/name] ([name]Maggie[/name]) - An underused and unappreciated classic with loads of nickname options. [name]Love[/name] it!
[name]Penelope[/name] - I think this name is going to become very trendy due to the Kardashian baby. It’s a shame when the name has so much history.
[name]Sophia[/name]/[name]Sophie[/name]- I love [name]Sophie[/name] - it’s much more friendly and approachable than the more frilly [name]Sophia[/name]. [name]Sophia[/name] is the No# 1 name in the US so personally I would stay away from it.
Faves: [name]Abigail[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Sophie[/name] and [name]Margaret[/name] (oh, these four would make a great sibling set)
