Should I daughter Creed?

When l was in high school, there was a boy named [name]Creed[/name], which struck me as extremely exotic and unique. I am 90% on it,it just add character and flavor. Does it sound contrive or too presumptuous?

I’m not crazy for it, sorry. It just reminds me of the band. I lol’d at @sugarfoot’s description of the band, I couldn’t agree more!

Have you considered Crea? Pronounced KREE, it’s similar, and I’ve heard it means “heart”, which I think is so sweet.

Good luck!

All I think of is the terrible 90’s band.

I like it! [name]Unique[/name]! I don’t think of the band because its a girl. It sounds powerful, yet gentle and the long “e” sound makes it feminine.

[name]Creed[/name] makes me think of the creepy guy on The Office. But I think Cree would be a nice alternative.

Sorry, but I too think of [name]Creed[/name] from The Office and [name]Creed[/name] from the 90s.

I feel like this is a trolling post but I could be wrong and apologize if it’s legitimate. I don’t think [name]Creed[/name] makes for a very nice girls name because as others have said, the Office character and the band.

I love [name]Creed[/name] for a girl.

If you love it then do it. I could see it working, but I am not a fan of the band and it sounds a lot like Greed to me (which I wouldn’t want people to mistake it for).

I strongly dislike this and don’t think of it as a name at all.

Too noun-y, and definitely unfeminine. Not that all girls need super-girly names, but this one is so abrupt that it would be awkward.

According to the Merriam-[name]Webster[/name] dictionary the word creed means:
1: a brief authoritative formula of religious belief
2: a set of fundamental beliefs; also : a guiding principle

Too much of a word, to be used as a name and it doesn’t inspire great things.

[name]Creed[/name] is unusable because:

  1. It is a word, not a name.
  2. Many people will think of the band.
  3. People will also think of The Office.
  4. It doesn’t sound very feminine.
  5. It also reminds me of the game Assassin’s [name]Creed[/name].

[name]Unique[/name], similar sounding girl’s name: [name]Brighid[/name].

Oh, remember the actress from Different World (I’m old) Cree [name]Summer[/name]? Cree is hella cute.

I love the character on The Office, but not in the way that I’d be thrilled to see the name on a little girl!

If you love it, maybe consider it as a middle name? As it is a word, I do think it could be interesting in the middle spot.

Associations -

  1. Assassin’s [name]Creed[/name]
  2. The perfume.

@mom- I am old too. I remember Cree on “A Different World”
Slightly less old people may remember her as the voice of [name]Susie[/name] on “Rugrats.” haha

Anyway, I agree with pretty much everyone else. [name]Creed[/name] is a no go.

when i here it it reminds me of assassins creed! just saying;)

it is very close to the word breed too much teasing potential methinks.
