Should i remove one of my middle names?

I don’t understand-you mean you went through a legal name change? For yourself? That is quite a process and not inexpensive.

If you are willing to spend the money and time to go through the process again, I would say ‘go for it’ if it will make you happy. Considering you probably would never officially use the 3 middle names due to the character limit on social security cards, I myself wouldn’t bother.
If this is hypothetical, I think you are right that the three names don’t quite flow together. I would drop on if the ‘C’ names and either replace it or lose it altogether.

Yes, it’s what i’m saying, i’ve changed my name legally.
In my country it’s free but i don’t think i can change again because i’ve already had this chance before…

I think you should do whatever works better for you, honestly.

Strictly speaking, there is nothing that bothers me about the three names together. I don’t think [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] are too similar, or that the flow is bad. I think that, as a rule of thumb, it’s usually better to have too many names than too few; you don’t have to use [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] if you don’t want to.

However, if it is really aggravating or upsetting you to have [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] as a middle name, or just feels wrong for you, and you really feel that it is worth removing it - then you should of course go ahead and remove it. I don’t know how it works in other countries, but here in the UK you can effectively change your name for free, unless you feel the need to renew your passport.

Damn, I wish it was free in [name_f]Canada[/name_f]! I changed my name legally last year and it cost $250 and I have to do it again. So another $250!

Anyways, I agree with the others my dear. If you’re really unhappy then go for the change! Happiness is worth every penny. As long as you’re sure because, at least for me, it gets stressful. I am the same way as you, popular names even if just as a middle name just annoy me. I didn’t pick anything popular the first time and I won’t this time either, so I hear you. All three names do sound really lovely though from an outside perspective so again, it just comes down to what you want for yourself  Good luck!

I see! I didn’t realize that other countries allowed it for free. I the United States, it is extremely expensive and takes months to do. Good luck in whatever you decide!

I think the wonderful thing about naming yourself, versus another person, is that the only opinion you need to consider is your own.

But I will say, since you asked for opinions, that it seems a shame to me to let popularity tarnish the beautiful name [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. I associate the name with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Bronte[/name_f], a strong, talented woman who broke the mold. It is a popular name, but it’s also a name laden with history and to me, a very beautiful choice.

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Louise[/name_f] are also beautiful, timeless names, with or without [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] alongside them.

Good luck with your choice!

Thank you all for the replies.
