I would love to name my son Shule, but my [name_f]MIL[/name_f] was so [name_m]RUDE[/name_m] about it and said that her “grandson would not be named Shule” and made fun of the name for MONTHS before we found out our last was a girl. She and my [name_m]BIL[/name_m] still make fun of the name. But I still like it. So my question is - what are your thoughts? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like how it sounds? [name_m]Will[/name_m] my kid end up hating it?

Shule with a strong U - so it doesn’t rhyme with “cool” it rhymes with “rule”
I am another that doesnt know how to pronounce it, so I can’t give an opinion about sound, especially since rule and cool rhyme in my accent.
Having said that, I think it looks odd. To me, it looks like Schule misspelled, which is the [name_m]German[/name_m] word for school.
