What do you think of the name ?
would you pronounce Si-ah-na or si-aw-na?
also to add, do you prefer:
Alessa (ah-less-ah)
Siana (si-ah-na)
thanks !

Interesting, at first glance I thought it was [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]. I’d say it see-ahhh-na, might also be tempted to say shah-na because of the similarity to [name_f]Sian[/name_f] (I’m [name_f]English[/name_f] if that helps).
[name_f][/name_f]They’re both very pretty, I think I prefer [name_f]Alessa[/name_f] because it’s more straightforward to say and spell [name_f][/name_f]- I also like [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] and [name_f]Alessia[/name_f].
Thank you very much !!
I’d say [name_f]Siana[/name_f] as see-AH-nah – it visually reminds me of [name_f]Liana[/name_f] which I know to be pronounced this way! And I think I like [name_f]Siana[/name_f] more than [name_f]Alessa[/name_f] for the nicknames, and because it sounds a bit fresher. But [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] would be a wonderful alternative!
I would pronounce it see-AHH-nuh (soft A sound), like how I’d say [name_f]Kiana[/name_f] or [name_f]Liana[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] second guess would be shaw-nuh.
[name_f][/name_f]I slightly prefer [name_f]Siana[/name_f]! I like [name_f]Alessa[/name_f], but prefer the similar [name_f]Alessia[/name_f].
[name_f]Alessa[/name_f] is pretty; gentle but with a touch of sassy.
[name_f][/name_f]I’d say [name_f]Siana[/name_f] as SHAH-nuh (like [name_f]Sian[/name_f] with an -uh sound), but wouldn’t be surprised by see-an-uh or see-ah-nuh either.
[name_f][/name_f]They’re quite nice as slight twists on [name_f]Alessia[/name_f], [name_f]Aleesha[/name_f], and [name_f]Siena[/name_f].
[name_f]Siana[/name_f] is pretty but for some reason, I want to pronounce it SHAW-nah or SHAH-nah
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Alessa[/name_f] is also pretty
[name_f][/name_f]I think my favorite is [name_f]Siana[/name_f]
Of the two, I prefer [name_f]Siana[/name_f]! [name_f][/name_f] I find [name_f]Alessa[/name_f] interesting but like [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] or [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] more myself—Alessa feels like she’s missing something, or would be mistaken for [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]? [name_f][/name_f] I think [name_f]Siana[/name_f] could be mistaken for [name_f]Siena[/name_f] or [name_f]Susanna[/name_f], but I still like her a little more than [name_f]Alessa[/name_f]. [name_f][/name_f] Maybe because I’ve been enjoying [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] so much lately?
[name_f][/name_f]Good luck!
Siana is pretty - See-ah-nah (I think this is the Anglo-Welsh pronunciation; I don’t like the “aw” sound of that Americans o sometimes use for an “Ah” sound, it sounds harsh/ saw-like to me. If not See-ah-nah, I would think it was See-anna or Shah-nah).
I like the sound Alessa but in Australian-English, it evokes, “a lesser” (as in less-than), so I would use Alessia instead. Or I’d use Alessandra and nickname to Alessa. (There’s Alyssa too but I don’t warm to this name.)
Some other names similar to both:
Sienna
Sian (Sha-n)
Samara
Soraya
Aurelia
Tessa
Elara
Alora
Elyra
Aria

I read [name_f]Siana[/name_f] as “Shar-na”
