My daughters are named Maryn, [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (we call her mostly by first and middle). We are expecting #4 and are at a loss. Some names I like are:
[name_f]Annie[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]/[name_f]Norah[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Kathryn[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_u]Regan[/name_u]
Congratulations! To give this daughter her own initial, I’d pick a name that allows for the nickname “[name_f]Annie[/name_f].” I like [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] and [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] with your other girls’ names!
I like [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Paige[/name_f] best, but is [name_f]Clara[/name_f] too similar to [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]? Maybe, maybe not, depends on what you (and maybe [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]?) think. I think with Maryn, [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] & [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] all being so unique and different, [name_f]Clara[/name_f] might be too close. I would go with [name_f]Annie[/name_f].
Congratulations! Four daughters – you are extremely blessed. They all have lovely names.
I actually taught a little girl named Maryn who had a sister named [name_f]Greer[/name_f] (or [name_f]Grier[/name_f] – I can’t remember the spelling now!) I immediately thought of [name_f]Greer[/name_f]/[name_f]Grier[/name_f] because of the Maryn connection.
Here are my thoughts on your list. Some of opinions echo what others have said.
1.) [name_f]Annie[/name_f] – I adore [name_f]Annie[/name_f] as a nickname! I would go with a more substantial name and call her [name_f]Annie[/name_f]. Possibilities are [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Adriana[/name_f], [name_f]Annalise[/name_f], etc.
2.) [name_f]Norah[/name_f]/[name_f]Nora[/name_f] – This name goes very well with your sibling set. However, both [name_f]Norah[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] are extremely popular. I know three little girls with the name – the oldest is in kindergarten.
3.) [name_f]Clara[/name_f] – I would avoid repeating the letter “C” due to [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].
4.) [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] – You can’t go wrong with a classic! I prefer the first spelling. [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is an adorable nickname.
5.) [name_f]Paige[/name_f] – This name feels very 90s to me. It also somehow feels a bit less feminine than your other three girls’ names.
6.) [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] – This name is probably my favorite classic and it goes perfectly with your sibling set. It remains very popular, however. Possible nicknames: [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Libby[/name_f].
7.) [name_u]Regan[/name_u] – Again, this name feels very 90s to me, a bit past its prime.
Here are some additional options for you. Please be sure to post your baby’s name in Nameberry Birth Announcements once she arrives. Best of luck!
