  • I don’t exactly pronounce [name_m]Teo[/name_m], [name_u]TAY[/name_u]-o (I don’t pronounce it english) but that would sound the closest to my pronunciation :slight_smile:
  • What exactly do you mean by “Euro” enough?
  • [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] / [name_f]Ofelia[/name_f] as a sib-set is stunning. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think that [name_f]Flora[/name_f] would go well with them?
  • Also do you pronounce [name_f]Leonor[/name_f], [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-oh-nor or [name_m]Lay[/name_m]-oh-nor, as in [name_m]Leo[/name_m] or in [name_m]Teo[/name_m]?
    [name_f]One[/name_f] more question: Could [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] and [name_m]Elliott[/name_m] work together?
    From you list I really like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], it’s been growing on me for a while now.

[name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce [name_m]Teo[/name_m]? Where are you from/ what language(s) do you speak? Is it more like Téo, or TEH-o?

“Euro” is kind of a broad term, I guess. To me, [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] is very Spanish with potential to work with names of many different backgrounds (Portuguese, Italian, sometimes Scandinavian, all jump to mind). I realize that the UK is in Europe, but I don’t find that English/[name_f]Iris[/name_f]/Scottish/Welsh names work well with something like [name_f]Leonor[/name_f]. Eilionoir would be a different story, though :wink: TL;DR [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] + a name from a Romance Language

I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]Leonor[/name_f], [name_f]Ofelia[/name_f] & [name_f]Flora[/name_f] together! [name_f]Flora[/name_f] jumped on my list last year and [name_f]Leonor[/name_f]'s been on there for a number of years. I think they’re great together. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_f]Flora[/name_f] has the same “OR” sound as [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] does, it’s less obvious to me than [name_f]Theodora[/name_f].

I say “leh-o-[name_f]NOR[/name_f]” if I’m going for Spanish, and if I’m anglicizing, I say what is basically like “[name_m]LAY[/name_m]-uh-nor”. I say [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_m]Teo[/name_m] the same way too (LEH-o/ TEH-o or [name_m]LAY[/name_m]-o/[name_u]TAY[/name_u]-o if approximating).

[name_f]Leonor[/name_f] and [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]… I have a hard time saying yes to this because of my whole “distinctly Spain” feeling from [name_f]Leonor[/name_f], and [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] is so very English. I love the name [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] though, and I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] E, L and O sounds in names <3 While I wouldn’t personally put them together, I wouldn’t be horrified if someone else did lol. They’re both great names.

I would pronounce [name_m]Teo[/name_m], THE-o simply because I love that pronunciation but I also like Tee-o or [name_u]Tay[/name_u]-o.
I agree that [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] is very Spanish (it is after all the name of the Spanish princess) and I would pronounce it LEHO-nor (so not exactly Spanish) instead of [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-oh-nor (even though I don’t mind that pronunciation).
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] is a name that I’ve been loving for a long time and while it might not exactly fit in with the style of the other names, it’s one of these English name that don’t sound very different when you use it in other languages.
In fact I fell in love with the name when I first heard it on a little French-[name_m]German[/name_m] boy.
I was more concerned about the -[name_m]Leo[/name_m]/Lio sound that appears in both names, even if when spoken out loud it’s [name_m]LEO[/name_m]-nor but [name_f]EL[/name_f]-li-ot.
Would you have any other boys names that would fit in more with the girls names? And what middle names would you give them?
