Sibling for Billie and Stevie!

New to Nameberry so hope this is in the right place!
We are expecting our third child in December and are still stuck on the name. We are leaving the gender as a surprise so need both boy and girl names prepared.
We have two daughters, Billie Jo and Stevie Rain
My husband loves Frankie for a girl, I love the name but feel like it might be too matchy so am unsure! I also like Nellie too. I love Ada but am worried baby might feel left out in the future without an -ie ending. We like Rex for a boy name but are worried people see the name as a dogā€™s name.
Interested to see other people thoughts and other names you may suggest. Thanks!

I think [name_f]Ada[/name_f] might feel left out for two reasons, 1) she wouldnā€™t have a gender-neutral name and 2) it doesnā€™t end with ie. I actually knew a little guy named [name_m]Rex[/name_m], he suited it well.

[name_f]Nellie[/name_f] would be sweet with [name_f]Stevie[/name_f] and [name_f]Billie[/name_f] btw

here are some ideas
[name_m]Charlie[/name_m]
[name_m]Rory[/name_m]
[name_f]Lottie[/name_f]
[name_f]Birdie[/name_f]
[name_f]Evie[/name_f]
[name_m]Max[/name_m]
[name_f]Goldie[/name_f]
[name_f]Roxie[/name_f]
[name_m]Theo[/name_m]
[name_m]Bobby[/name_m]

[name_m]Dexter[/name_m]
[name_m]Dex[/name_m]
[name_m]Ace[/name_m]
[name_m]Roscoe[/name_m]
[name_m]Jett[/name_m]
[name_m]Max[/name_m]
[name_m]Fox[/name_m]
[name_m]Remy[/name_m]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_m]Wolf[/name_m]

Welcome to Nameberry!

I think Frankie is absolutely perfect! I wouldnā€™t worry about it being too matchy if both you and your husband love it, which it seems you do! I think Nellie is too similar to Billie, but it is cute.
Some middle name ideasā€¦
Frankie May
Frankie Blue
Frankie June
Frankie Dawn
Frankie Hope
Frankie Sage

Other girl ideas you might like:
Andie, Francie, Jude, Collins, Ellis, Leni / Lennie, Wylie

For boys, Rex is cute! Not too much of a dog name, I donā€™t think. More ideasā€¦
Dex (Dexter?)
Flynn
Art / Artie
Cal
Hayes
Mack
Ford
Jem
Lane
Kit

Hope this helped! Best of luck!

I think [name_m]Frankie[/name_m] for a girl is the best match for your family! I donā€™t think itā€™s too matchy at all.
[name_f]Nellie[/name_f] is also sweet, but seems more feminine than your other daughters. Same with [name_f]Ada[/name_f].
I wouldnā€™t really worry about dog names. I know a few kids with ā€œdog namesā€ and Iā€™m pretty sure no one has ever said anything! So I think [name_m]Rex[/name_m] would be fine!

I know quite a few boys called [name_m]Rex[/name_m]! I think it works really well

[name_m]Frankie[/name_m] and [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] are great too - I think [name_f]Nell[/name_f] ā€˜Nellieā€™ could work as a way to avoid getting locked into the -ie theme, but give her the possibility to match if she ever wanted too? (I donā€™t think sheā€™d feel left out btw)

[name_f]Ada[/name_f] is unexpected but keeps that vintage charm!

With [name_f]Billie[/name_f] and [name_f]Stevie[/name_f], Iā€™d suggestā€¦

[name_f]Romy[/name_f]
[name_f]Pippa[/name_f]
[name_f]Pepper[/name_f]
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Marnie[/name_f]
[name_f]Della[/name_f]
[name_f]Caro[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordy[/name_f]

[name_m]Kit[/name_m]
[name_m]Jules[/name_m]
[name_m]Mack[/name_m]
[name_m]Remy[/name_m]
[name_m]Jem[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m]
[name_m]Ronan[/name_m]
[name_m]Pax[/name_m]
[name_m]Quincy[/name_m]

I donā€™t know if I would use the name [name_m]Rex[/name_m], but it is more due to the dinosaur association than anything else. I want to suggest [name_m]Reggie[/name_m] for either a boy or a girl!

Other names:
[name_f]Josie[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgie[/name_f]
[name_m]Jamie[/name_m]
[name_f]Darcy[/name_f]
[name_m]Andy[/name_m]
[name_f]Remi[/name_f]
[name_m]Pacey[/name_m]
[name_f]Penny[/name_f]
[name_f]Mattie[/name_f]
Jesse/Jessie
[name_f]Dani[/name_f]
[name_f]Edie[/name_f]
[name_f]Joanie[/name_f]
[name_f]Genie[/name_f]

I am a big fan of [name_f]Ada[/name_f] ! Maybe you could use a longer name and [name_f]Ada[/name_f] as a nickname so she doesnā€™t feel left out and you still get to use [name_f]Ada[/name_f]

[name_f]Andie[/name_f] (Ada)
[name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] ( [name_f]Ada[/name_f] / [name_f]Addie[/name_f] )
[name_f]Adaline[/name_f]

I can see the appeal with [name_m]Frankie[/name_m] - but I do think that having a third neutral & ie ending paints you into a theme . Donā€™t get me wrong itā€™s a theme I love . I know sever girl Frankieā€™s so I think itā€™s a GREAT name

I feel like [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] breaks up the theme - and itā€™s super cute and frilly with some really great pop culture

If I were to pick some sibling names I would go with
[name_m]Joey[/name_m]
[name_m]Charlie[/name_m]
[name_f]Rylie[/name_f]
[name_f]Posie[/name_f]
[name_f]Andie[/name_f]
[name_f]Katie[/name_f]
[name_f]Valerie[/name_f]
[name_f]Chelsie[/name_f]

I love all the names mentioned in your post, so Iā€™ll try to give ā€œuniqueā€ suggestions. Take any duplicates as a second vote

Girls:
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Nieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Eilish[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]

Boys:
[name_m]Huxley[/name_m]
[name_m]Edwin[/name_m]
[name_m]Roy[/name_m]
[name_m]Russell[/name_m]
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m]
[name_m]Dean[/name_m]

Unisex:
[name_m]Lee[/name_m]
[name_f]Kelly[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessie[/name_f]

Billi3 [name_f]Jo[/name_f], St3vie [name_f]Rain[/name_f] andā€¦

[name_f]Georgie[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]
[name_f]Teddie[/name_f] [name_f]Lynn[/name_f]
[name_m]Charlie[/name_m] [name_f]Quinn[/name_f]
[name_f]Jackie[/name_f] [name_f]Sue[/name_f]
[name_m]Nicky[/name_m] [name_f]Jean[/name_f]

[name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Weston[/name_m] [name_m]Randolph[/name_m]
[name_m]Ross[/name_m] [name_m]Elliott[/name_m]
[name_m]Tucker[/name_m] [name_m]Sterling[/name_m]

I donā€™t think you have to pick an ā€˜ieā€™ ending for another girl but I do think itā€™s matchy in a really good way if you do. Iā€™d also be tempted to stick with the same style for a boy name and have the sib set all gender neutral.

I think [name_m]Frankie[/name_m] and [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] are both great. Some more suggestions for both genders:

[name_m]Charlie[/name_m]
[name_f]Georgie[/name_f]
[name_m]Albie[/name_m] / [name_m]Alfie[/name_m] / [name_m]Artie[/name_m]
[name_f]Marcie[/name_f]
[name_m]Ollie[/name_m]
[name_f]Novie[/name_f]
[name_f]Izzie[/name_f]
[name_m]Ozzie[/name_m] / [name_m]Ossie[/name_m]

For middles Iā€™d be tempted to go for [name_f]Ada[/name_f] for a girl and [name_m]Rex[/name_m] (or maybe Max) for a boy

I second @Ehrob1 suggestion of [name_f]Addie[/name_f]!

I think [name_m]Frankie[/name_m] is perfect for a girl. Iā€™ve known two human Rexes and no dog Rexes, so itā€™s definitely usable as a boy name. Maybe [name_f]Ada[/name_f] would be a great middle name?

Other ideas:

[name_f]Addie[/name_f]
[name_f]Amie[/name_f]
[name_f]Connie[/name_f]
[name_f]Dessie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lexie[/name_f]
[name_f]Mamie[/name_f]
[name_f]Tiffanie[/name_f]

[name_m]Aaron[/name_m]
[name_m]Calvin[/name_m]
[name_m]Carney[/name_m]
[name_m]Cornelius[/name_m]
[name_m]Curtis[/name_m]
[name_m]Ernest[/name_m]
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m]
[name_m]Franklin[/name_m]
[name_m]Harlan[/name_m]
[name_m]Hendrix[/name_m]
[name_m]Herbert[/name_m]
[name_m]Homer[/name_m]
[name_m]Ivan[/name_m]
[name_m]Miles[/name_m]
[name_m]Neil[/name_m]
[name_m]Pryce[/name_m]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_m]Vince[/name_m]
[name_m]Watson[/name_m]
[name_m]Zander[/name_m]

I love [name_m]Frankie[/name_m] but it is a bit matchy. Maybe [name_f]Greer[/name_f]? [name_m]Fox[/name_m] for a boy?
