[name_m]Hi[/name_m] All,

I’m looking for some help with a name for our new addition due in [name_u]June[/name_u]. Our daughter’s name is [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] ([name_u]CASS[/name_u]-see-uh) and I would like something that works well with her name. We have pretty much settled on [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] for a girl ([name_m]Both[/name_m] names honour a family member) and [name_m]Callum[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] for a boy.

I’m starting to have doubts about both first names. Especially [name_m]Callum[/name_m] - I’m not sure if I want two ‘C’ names. The middle name will most definitely be [name_u]James[/name_u] for a boy and [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] or [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] for a girl.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the feedback! I am starting to feel better about [name_f]Mira[/name_f]. Does anyone have any thoughts on [name_m]Callum[/name_m]? Or other suggestions for alternatives? I do like fianou’s suggestion of [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] but I don’t think it’s quite our style - mostly because we have a female friend of the family named [name_u]Tristen[/name_u].

I would like the first name to be somewhat unusual but still have a “classic” feel… Something a little different but not too trendy or out there - just like [name_f]Cassia[/name_f]. I also want to like any nicknames that would come with the name. I think one of my doubts about [name_m]Callum[/name_m] is the nickname “[name_u]Cal[/name_u]”. I feel like I could live with it, but I also associate it with a lot of people I knew growing up.

[name_f]Cassia[/name_f] and [name_f]Mira[/name_f] are two of my favorite names, and they are very nice together! I like [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] (or [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]), and [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] is pretty too, if you don’t mind the singsonginess. I think you got this one right. :slight_smile:

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think I am set on [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] (or [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] - my husband’s preference) now. I do like the suggestion of [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]. I’m open to hear others though. I find boys names incredibly difficult for some reason - I think it’s hard for me to find that balance of different but not too out there.
