So we’re planning a 3rd child soon (fingers crossed!). I have a boy named [name_u]Everest[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and a girl named [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. Our last name is monosyllabic.
Here are some names I’m currently crushing on:
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u]: Could work for either a boy or a girl. Would be a reference to [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] Island, which has significant meaning for us as we are an immigrant family. For me this name symbolizes journeys, dreams and hopes for a better life, and the idea of being a global citizen. I also like that it’s not common but easy to pronounce and spell.
If it’s a boy:
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]
If it’s a girl:
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u] [name_f]Serena[/name_f]
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]: If we have another girl, this could fit well with [name_u]Everest[/name_u] and [name_f]Luna[/name_f] because of the nature connection. But I wonder if this name is too overtly feminine to use as a first name? What if the little girl is a tomboy, then I don’t know if the name would suit her?
[name_f]Serena[/name_f]: I like how [name_u]Everest[/name_u], [name_f]Luna[/name_f] and [name_f]Serena[/name_f] sound together. I get the imagery of a peaceful nighttime scene in a forest with the moon rising over a mountain.
I also like [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], [name_u]Theo[/name_u], [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_u]Avery[/name_u], and [name_f]Alma[/name_f] (although I don’t know about using a Spanish name when we are not Latin).
Thoughts on the names I’ve listed so far? Any other ideas?
