My husband and I are having a very difficult time agreeing on a 2nd boy’s name. I’d like to name to flow with [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] but otherwise, our “style” is all over the place. Which is your favorite? My husband doesn’t like that some names are taken by girls as well but these days, people name girls any boys name (even ones that seem more masculine to me) names so i really hate having to rule names out, based on that. We have some ideas for middle names but I want to decide on the first name and go from there. Thanks for your opinion!
You have great taste! and I agree girls names are all over the board nowadays. Here are my thoughts:
[name_u]Camden[/name_u] - being an east coast-er, [name_u]Camden[/name_u] gives me a really bad association as it’s an extremely dangerous/rundown city
[name_m]Asher[/name_m] - I like but prefer [name_u]Ashton[/name_u] with [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]
[name_m]Jax[/name_m] - I like, but sounds nickname-y
[name_u]Max[/name_u] - I love
[name_m]Ace[/name_m] - Sounds too nickname-y/petname-y for me
[name_u]Logan[/name_u] - I like
I would go with [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] and [name_m]Asher[/name_m]. Second choice [name_u]Logan[/name_u]. [name_u]Camden[/name_u] sounds really nice but, I agree with a previous comment that [name_u]Camden[/name_u] has a negative connotation on the [name_f]East[/name_f] coast. If that doesn’t bother you then add it to your list.
[name_m]Jax[/name_m], [name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_m]Ace[/name_m] all sound like nicknames, which isn’t bad, but next to [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] it sounds off. I would remove these.
I like [name_u]Max[/name_u] best, but this seems too nicknamey with [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] and [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] would be lovely together though.
