My son is [name_m]Knox[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u], and we’re stumped on a sibling name. We have a few months until the new little one makes an appearance, but we’re struggling to decide (and team green, so no idea what we’re having).
Names we’ve considered: (middle name probably [name_m]Clay[/name_m] for boy or girl, but maybe [name_m]Robert[/name_m] if a boy, and maybe [name_f]Alice[/name_f] if it’s a girl)
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] (worried too popular – both husband and I have unusual names)
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] (rhymes with my stepson’s name, so probably out, but we really like [name_u]Hadley[/name_u])
[name_u]Bellamy[/name_u]
[name_m]Knox[/name_m] is on my personal favorites list, and I find myself pairing it with Celtic (or Irish, Scottish, etc.) and nature names more than anything. To go with [name_m]Knox[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u], I like:
Ailey
[name_f]Ayla[/name_f]
[name_u]Brighton[/name_u]
[name_f]Briony[/name_f] (this, to me, sounds like [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u] but more in the same style as [name_m]Knox[/name_m])
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f]
[name_f]Carys[/name_f]
[name_f]Evanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] (a more nature [name_u]Hadley[/name_u])
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f]
[name_f]Mira[/name_f]
[name_f]Nessa[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u] (like [name_u]Sloane[/name_u], one syllable ending in N)
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m] (love this one)
[name_m]Declan[/name_m]
[name_u]Finn[/name_u] (I think you’re right on the money with this one)
[name_m]Fletcher[/name_m]
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_m]Gavin[/name_m]
[name_m]Griffin[/name_m]
[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]
[name_u]Larkin[/name_u]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] (a more modern take, I think, on [name_m]Theodore[/name_m])
We love [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], so much that we have a cat named [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
We’re reconsidering [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_m]Clay[/name_m], though I really like [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]! I’ll float it by my husband
As far as boy names . . . we were planning on [name_m]Declan[/name_m] before but my cousin just named their baby [name_m]Declan[/name_m]. We could do it too, but we’d prefer not to. I like [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] and [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] though. I really really like [name_u]Finn[/name_u], I’m just not sure of the middle. [name_m]Robert[/name_m]? Does [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] work?
I love [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Clay[/name_f] and [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. With [name_m]Knox[/name_m], I would probably use [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Clay[/name_f].
For a boy, I really like [name_m]Wells[/name_m] [name_m]Clay[/name_m] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Robert[/name_m]. With [name_m]Knox[/name_m], I think I would go with [name_m]Wells[/name_m] [name_m]Clay[/name_m].
I love [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] for a girl! Although I would probably pair [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] with the mn [name_f]Alice[/name_f] over [name_m]Clay[/name_m] so it’s not overly masculine. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_m]Clay[/name_m] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] are both beautiful!
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m] is my absolute favorite from your boy list! I love it. Plus [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] [name_m]Clay[/name_m] & [name_m]Knox[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] just sound great together.
I really love [name_m]Beckett[/name_m], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], and [name_u]Sloane[/name_u]! They’re unique, but not overly wild. They’re easy to pronounce, spell and all sound really cute with [name_m]Knox[/name_m]! Xx
If you really like the name [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and want to use the middle name [name_m]Clay[/name_m], you could select one of the longer versions of the name for his formal name as in…
but use [name_u]Finn[/name_u] as his nickname. Whenever his formal nam was said together with his middle name, that would avoid the one-syllable, one-syllable combination.
I’m currently pregnant and [name_m]Knox[/name_m] is my top pick for a boy! I already have a daughter [name_f]Nova[/name_f] which I love with [name_m]Knox[/name_m] if that helps
