I love unusual/uncommon names. [name]Son[/name] #1 is [name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Everett[/name] and [name]Son[/name] #2 is [name]Vito[/name] [name]David[/name]. Those first names we chose in part because of Scottish/Irish and Italian heritage between my husband and I and both middle names are family names.
[name]Baby[/name] #3 due in 3 months. We didnt want to know the gender until born.
Girl names: [name]Kathleen[/name] will be middle name (family name).
[name]Willa[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name] - has family roots (william is brother - grandpa) but concerned it will be on the next list of
trendy names along the lines of [name]Ella[/name], [name]Della[/name], etc…
[name]Stella[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name] - [name]Stella[/name] is grandmas name but again concerned about rising popularity/trendiness
[name]Bianca[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name] - is [name]Bianca[/name] too exotic?
[name]Elka[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name] - love the way [name]Elka[/name] sounds and how rarely I have heard it but not sure hubby will go for it
~the first name should be shorter and not end in a “y” preferably - last name is similar to Hennessey~
Boy names: House will be middle name (my maiden name)
[name]Clive[/name] House - love the sound of [name]Clive[/name] so much
[name]Everest[/name] House - too strange? [name]Everett[/name] is my sons middle name but I really love the sound of [name]Everest[/name]
Any other suggestions, thoughts, comments? Thanks in advance!
[name]Lachlan[/name] and [name]Vito[/name] are both very distinct culturally-specific names to me. Therefore, I think [name]Bianca[/name] would work perfectly with them, since it also is very distinct and (for me at least) culturally specific. I think it is a stunning name, and not at all too exotic (I personally find [name]Vito[/name] more exotic if that makes any sense).
I also love love love the name [name]Elke[/name], which unfortunately I can’t use for a future daughter since it sounds way too sing-songy with my last name. BUT I also think it holds its own very nicely with [name]Lachlan[/name] and [name]Vito[/name].
[name]Willa[/name] has always felt like an incomplete name to me, and while I love the name [name]Stella[/name], I also would not use it due to its perceived trendiness. Trendiness bothers me more than actual popularity when it comes to names.
I think you should stay away from names that are very irish or very italian b/c then it will seem like “one of these things is not like the other” syndrome.
While [name]Clive[/name] fits the bill, I am not a big fan of the name. I think [name]Everest[/name] is much too close to [name]Everett[/name], but in some families, middle names are barely mentioned so this one I leave up to you.
Other possibilities (going with the english/british slant which is how I perceive [name]Clive[/name], and berries feel free to point out how wrong I may be!!):
Allistair / [name]Alisdair[/name] etc (my favorite)
[name]Basil[/name]
[name]Troy[/name] (a bit abrupt with mn House)
[name]Silas[/name]
[name]Miles[/name]
Your son’s names - [name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Everett[/name] and [name]Vito[/name] [name]David[/name] - are very different in style. From your list, I think [name]Bianca[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name] and [name]Clive[/name] House would be ok but [name]Bianca[/name] suits [name]Vito[/name] better and [name]Clive[/name] goes with [name]Lachlan[/name]. Here are some suggestions. All the best!
