I picked [name_m]Brody[/name_m] because the others seem too similar in sound to [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] (especially [name_m]Ronan[/name_m]) but after I voted I realised that [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] may be called Lachy (all the [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]'s I’ve ever known have) and Lachy and [name_m]Brody[/name_m] seem too similar. [name_m]Callum[/name_m] would definitely be my second choice.
My top two are [name_m]Callum[/name_m] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. I think they all go well with [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] because names end in N doesn’t mean they sound too close in sound with [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]. I think there is too much worry on baby name forums about this. No one would think you were shouting out the same name with any of these. They all have their own sounds. Now if you were asking about [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], those are similar in sound and may sound like the same name called out.
This is purely subjective, but [name_m]Brody[/name_m] feels less sophisticated and charming than the rest to me. I love every single other name on this list! [name_m]Brody[/name_m] does have the advantage of sounding the most distinct however. I think the others all work fine though. My favorites with [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] would have to be [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_u]Orion[/name_u], but I adore [name_m]Callum[/name_m], [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], and [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] as well.
I like [name_m]Ronan[/name_m].
