Sibling for Lia (boy or girl)

One of my coworkers has recently found out she’s expecting number 2. She hasn’t really asked for suggestions yet (but I asked her about names today!). I figured it’d be nice to have some suggestions, if she wants them, in the future. She’s only about 8 weeks right now. [name_u]Baby[/name_u] number 1 is essentially [name_f]Adalia[/name_f] [name_f]Jada[/name_f] “[name_f]Lia[/name_f]” (slightly changed for security reasons, but sounds really, really similar), and I’m wondering what you lovely ladies would suggest for number 2.

Her boyfriend (not [name_f]Lia[/name_f]'s father) likes [name_f]Aria[/name_f] and [name_u]Nico[/name_u] ([name_f]Cassie[/name_f] likes [name_f]Aria[/name_f], but isn’t sold because our boss is naming his daughter next month [name_u]Arya[/name_u]; she really likes [name_m]Dominic[/name_m], but not [name_u]Nico[/name_u], and he doesn’t want [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] or [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]…). I’m rooting for a little [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] next to [name_f]Adalia[/name_f].

Anyway, what would you gander on a little sibling for little [name_f]Lia[/name_f]? I was always rather impressed with [name_f]Lia[/name_f]'s name, so I have high hopes for baby number 2.

Thanks, ladies!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], do you remember me? Its been a [name_m]LONG[/name_m] time since I’ve been on nameberry. [name_m]How[/name_m] exactly is [name_f]Adalia[/name_f] pronounced? I definitely don’t like just [name_u]Nico[/name_u] next to [name_f]Lia[/name_f]/[name_f]Adalia[/name_f]. I think [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] would be nice abnd maybe she could compromise with the nickname [name_u]Nico[/name_u] for her boyfriends sake? I also think [name_f]Aria[/name_f] is a little matchy to [name_f]Adalia[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] they have any other girl suggestions? What does their girl style seem to be?

Ha, of course I do! I’m off to reply to your PM soon. It’s not quite spelled the same as [name_f]Adalia[/name_f] (one letter is different), but it’s pronounced add-ah-lee-ah. I don’t feel like [name_f]Adalia[/name_f] and [name_f]Aria[/name_f] sound that much alike. I don’t know that she’s really set on it. When I asked her about names, she said, “Well, we have a girls’ name, but there’s something about it that’s bothering me.” It sounds like for now they’re planning on it, but we both know our boss who is expecting his little [name_u]Arya[/name_u] will be very territorial about [name_u]Arya[/name_u]/[name_f]Aria[/name_f], especially since he came up with the name, and got his wife to go for it. I’m trying not to push it, only offer suggestions if she wants it, but I only see her about once a week. So I probably won’t see her for a while, anyway. When she said that he liked [name_u]Nico[/name_u], I said that she could use [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] or [name_m]Dominic[/name_m], or something, and he could call him [name_u]Nico[/name_u], but she could call him [name_m]Dom[/name_m] or [name_u]Nick[/name_u] or something like that, and she was like, “Well, I like [name_m]Dominic[/name_m]!” She likes [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] with her daughter’s name, too. But it sounds like her boyfriend doesn’t like [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] at all. We’ll see, I guess. I’m not sure what sort of names she likes–I sort of thought unusual, feminine, sort of long and romantic (like [name_f]Adalia[/name_f]!), but she said she really likes unisex names, too (which I can understand, because [name_f]Adalia[/name_f]'s MN is unisex). At this time, I don’t think they really have any other ideas. She doesn’t want popular, though, and seems to be put off by how trendy [name_f]Aria[/name_f]/[name_u]Arya[/name_u] is getting (we were talking about [name_f]Mila[/name_f]'s and [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]'s popularity, and she seems to want a rather unique name, but not in the [name_f]Nevaeh[/name_f] Bentliegheyy sort of way. :)). I was just curious what people would pair with [name_f]Adalia[/name_f], mainly because I’m so curious what SHE’LL pair with [name_f]Adalia[/name_f]. I’ve always loved her daughter’s name, and I hope she does just as well with baby number 2.
