[name]Hi[/name] there,
We are still in the early stages of the pregnancy (we won’t know the sex of the child for another six weeks or so), but we cannot help but start looking at naming possibilities. Our problem is, we can’t seem to find very many options that we feel would be worthy candidates. We spent so much time and energy making list after list, having debate after debate with our first child’s name, that it’s been hard to be passionate about any of the names, if that makes sense.
So, as you can see, we’re in a bit of a naming rut. Hopefully, you wise berries will be able to help us! We prefer names that are longer in syllables, are unusual but not unheard-of, and are more “old-fashioned” if you will (our last name is [name]Carroll[/name], so it has to off-set the generic-ness of it). For example, our daughter’s name is [name]Lorelei[/name].
The middle name of this second little bean, no matter the sex, will be [name]Quinn[/name] (which is a family name).
To give you a better idea of some of the names we like…
For boys, the only name we’ve been able to find that we feel might be a contender is [name]Thatcher[/name].
As for girl names, we both love [name]Penelope[/name], but are greatly disappointed with it’s rising popularity (169, really?!). We also like [name]Ophelia[/name] and [name]Seraphine[/name].
Thanks in advance! And we look forward to reading your suggestions!
