Hello
Expecting our second baby next year and hubby and I been discussing names. For our first we had a short list of boys names but only one girls name ‘martha’ because we both just loved it so much!
This time we have the following ideas for boys:
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_m]Harvey[/name_m]
And for girls:
[name_f]Margo[/name_f] (hubby loves it - I love it but worry too close fo Martha?)
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]
Having names beginning both with m doesn’t bother me, hubby and I have same initials including middle name!
What does everyone think do they go with [name_f]Martha[/name_f]? Any favourites or other similar line suggestions?
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] sound great with [name_f]Martha[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] is more stylistically correct with [name_f]Martha[/name_f] than [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]. They feel like they are from totally different eras. [name_f]Martha[/name_f] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] make great sisters. Others to consider
I really like Harvey and Mabel with Martha! Old-fashioned with a vintage charm and homely vibe. I also just think that Margo and Tabitha are too close to Martha! I’d find them a bit corny together as sibling names.

From your boys I love [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] & [name_u]Noah[/name_u].
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is gorgeous a lovely gentle classic that feels soft, timeless and classic. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] feels well tailored, peaceful and sounds lovely with [name_f]Martha[/name_f]. I like the meaning of [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] ‘mind; intellect’ as this seems to conjure up imagery of books, science, history and awe inspiring theories. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] sounds so effortless with [name_f]Martha[/name_f] a lovely pairing. I think [name_f]Martha[/name_f] & [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] are perfection
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] is my other favourite. I’ve always loved [name_u]Noah[/name_u]! He feels peaceful, wholesome, outdoorsy and has a lovely happy upbeat sound. I love the biblical association with Noah’s [name_m]Ark[/name_m] which has a lot of sentimentality for me so makes me love her more. Personally I love how adorable [name_f]Martha[/name_f] & [name_u]Noah[/name_u] feel so sweet, wholesome and spunky.
You’ve had lots of lovely suggestions so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries
With your girl names I love [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] is just gorgeous such a lovely name that feels wholesome, classic and has a lovely cottagecore vibe. [name_f]Martha[/name_f] & [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] are just too gorgeous for words.
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Harvey[/name_m], [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] are great options!!
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] is a bit close for me.
I don’t think [name_f]Margo[/name_f] is way too similar to [name_f]Martha[/name_f]. [name_m]Even[/name_m] [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] is too similar to [name_f]Martha[/name_f] for my taste since it has the same ending. I like [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] a lot and I think it matches well with [name_f]Martha[/name_f]. For boys, I really like [name_m]Harvey[/name_m], but any of the choices you listed could work.
Congrats! I love [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] or [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] for a girl, and [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] for a boy. [name_f]Margo[/name_f] is way, way too close to [name_f]Martha[/name_f] in my opinion.
I like [name_f]Martha[/name_f] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] together!

Oh [name_f]Martha[/name_f] is just gorgeous. I love!!! [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_f]Martha[/name_f] together!!
I adore [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] but can’t decide if it’s perfect with [name_f]Martha[/name_f] or too samey…I think they’re a sweet pair but any further names would struggle to fit in because they’re just so similar. And [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is definitely too close I’m afraid.
Some sister suggestions, count any repeats as agreement ~
[name_f]Martha[/name_f] is a classic and my late great grandmother’s name. Formidable woman!
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] seems strong enough to go with [name_f]Martha[/name_f]. Not as sure about [name_u]Noah[/name_u] bc it is so used and [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] which has always seemed a little whiny to me. With [name_f]Martha[/name_f], I do love H names like [name_m]Herbert[/name_m], [name_m]Horatio[/name_m], [name_m]Hector[/name_m], [name_m]Heath[/name_m], [name_m]Hans[/name_m], [name_m]Halifax[/name_m], [name_m]Hadrian[/name_m], [name_m]Hiram[/name_m], [name_m]Hoyt[/name_m], etc.
I love [name_f]Margo[/name_f] (with a T), [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]. [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] especially as my Grandma was [name_f]Martha[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]. Great choice.
I love all of your boy names with [name_f]Martha[/name_f]. [name_f]Margo[/name_f] is charming, but I do think it’s close to [name_f]Martha[/name_f]. If you’re done at two, it might be fine, but if there’s a chance of more kids, that might be odd later. [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] are excellent, though!
I don’t think you need other suggestions, but just for fun:
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] are a bit close to [name_f]Martha[/name_f] for me and I am not fond of [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]. For boys I love [name_m]Hugo[/name_m].
[name_f]Martha[/name_f] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m]
