My son is [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Lucas[/name] ([name]Max[/name]) and my daughter is [name]Vivian[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] ([name]Vivi[/name]).
I am looking for a girls name.
I like and my husband does not:
[name]Cora[/name] or [name]Nora[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Lila[/name]
My husband likes but I don’t:
[name]Brooke[/name] (I like this name, just not matched with the sibling names)
[name]Ava[/name] (I also like it, but it’s a bit too popular, I think… I suggested [name]Eva[/name] as an alternative, but my husband will not go for it)
Names we can somewhat agree upon:
[name]Ada[/name] - this was a vacation place for my husband’s family growing up, so it holds meaning for him. I also like that it’s from the same ‘era’ of popularity as [name]Vivian[/name], as it seems to go together. I’m just not sure about it yet.
[name]Kate[/name] - we both like it, but as a nickname. I do like that like the other kids, she would have a full name and then a nickname option. However… I don’t love “[name]Katherine[/name]” and am not sure about what other good options would be for the full name.
Does anyone have any ideas for other names that might fit in our style and sound good with the other two? I definitely don’t want anything that ends in an ‘ee’ sound, because we most often call [name]Vivian[/name] “[name]Vivi[/name]” at this point, and I find I don’t like the sound of two 'ee’s in a row.
[name]Welcome[/name] to Nameberry! [name]Max[/name], [name]Vivian[/name] and [name]Ada[/name] would be lovely as siblings. Here are some other suggestions.
What a shame your dh doesn’t like [name]Hazel[/name]…I think stylistically, it fits perfectly with [name]Max[/name] and [name]Vivian[/name], and it has the ‘z,’ giving each child, as lori johnson notes, an unusual letter in their names.
Leaving out the unusual letter element, I think [name]Max[/name], [name]Vivian[/name] and [name]Ada[/name] makes a great set.
I would also consider (echoing some of [name]Mischa[/name]'s suggestions):
[name]Maxwell[/name], [name]Vivian[/name], and [name]Eloise[/name] was the first one I thought of. [name]Max[/name], [name]Vivi[/name], and [name]Elle[/name] would be nice.
