Hello! Loooong time lurker (for decades!), but a first-time poster.
Looking for the perfect sibling name for [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] not know the sex of the new baby yet.
Our last name is a 3-syllable Irish name starting with a C… so most C names are out (like [name_m]Colm[/name_m], [name_m]Cannon[/name_m], and [name_m]Conall[/name_m], which we love).
We have several names that we like, but none that give me the same feeling that [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f] did when I was pregnant with her. We are not wedded to the idea of an Irish name, but it does need to work with and hold up next to [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f].

Thank you all for your lovely replies and suggestions. For as many years as I’ve been reading these forums I’m not totally sure how to use them correctly so I hope this posts in the right place
Some of your suggestions are spot on and names I have proposed and my husband vetoed (Bridget, [name_f]Nell[/name_f], Naimh). Others I love but already are names of family members (Declan), friends (Killian, Nolan) or our dog (Jasper). We have a well named village!
I have not had a chance to go through all of the suggestions with my husband, but we did add [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] to the list from the ones we have looked at so far!
To answer the question about what gave me the warm fuzzies about Saoirse’s name… I liked the way it looked written out, I loved that it was feminine and also kind of badass at the same time, I loved the meaning (some names I like now, I look up the meaning and feel totally let down!), and loved that while unusual it lent itself to a simpler nickname (Sara) should she so choose someday.
I will definitely be perusing these suggestions with more time and attention ASAP!
