I’m due with my third baby in [name_u]February[/name_u] and we are team green. Currently focusing on girl names! [name_f]My[/name_f] two kids are [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] and [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_u]Timothy[/name_u] (both middle names are family names). Our last name is one syllable and pretty common. What are your thoughts on the below:
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f] (love the nickname [name_f]Goldie[/name_f])
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] (would probably call her [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] mostly)
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] (We do love this, but aren’t sure if it’s too weird haha)
I also like [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], but I feel like it’s picked up a bit in popularity recently.
For the middle name I want to use a family with family significance. I’d love to use [name_f]Wendy[/name_f] if we choose a first name that sounds ok with it. We also have [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_u]Clare[/name_u], and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] as options.
From your options, I really like Rosemary! I think it’s quite sweet and substantial, and Rosie is a perfect nickname. I also think it has the subtle floral elements of Violet and the subtle natural elements of Shepherd to balance them out quite nicely. I’m also totally smitten with Rosemary Jane! How gorgeous! Rosemary Clare would be beautiful as well.
Marigold is another wonderful option for you, and Goldie is an adorable nickname! I think this one would also pair quite well with Wendy. Marigold Wendy is such a charming name! My only concern here is that it would make your set a very obvious nature theme, which isn’t inherently a bad thing! Just something to consider for yourselves as you choose a name.
Beatrice is a perfectly nice name, and I think would be more appealing for your set if not for Rosemary or Marigold being on your list. I’m obviously quite partial to the Mary sound for you! I personally want to like Beatrice a lot more than I do, as it still feels a bit too old lady to me, especially next to the spunkier Violet and fresh-sounding Shepherd. Beatrice Wendy or Beatrice Margaret are lovely though, just not as adorable or fitting as Rosemary Jane or Marigold Wendy.
Maple is a little too out there in my opinion, I’m sorry. Adorable name though.
I also quite like Juniper, but have noticed an uptick in interest. I don’t think it’s enough for the name to become popular necessarily, but I do see your concern. I think Juniper Wendy is just adorable though and would make a lovely sibling to Violet Rae and Shepherd Timothy.
My vote is definitely for Rosemary Jane, followed by Marigold Wendy and then Juniper Wendy. You really can’t go wrong with these choices though!

Marigold-This is really sweet, & a great match w/Violet & [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]. Vintage but sounds fresh, feminine but not too fussy, simple & fairly unique.
Beatrice-I like this one even more. It’s kind of quiet & bookish, but still slightly bold. Vintage, feminine w/out being frilly, lots of great nns. Well known but not popular. All of the good qualities!
Rosemary-Honestly, it’s not my favorite [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] name. I just think it sounds a little fussy or something? I love [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] though. It’s cheerful & lovable. I prefer [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f]. Also kind of like [name_f]Primrose[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] & [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f].
Maple-No, it’s not too weird! It’s soooo cute. It’s a little quirky, but that’s the fun of it.
Juniper-I agree that it’s a getting a little more popular. I don’t see it hitting the top ten or anything, but rising a little up the charts. Very cool name though.
I love [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], and think [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Wendy[/name_f] or [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] are really sweet.
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Wendy[/name_f] also has a nice flow and goes well with your other children’s names.
I basically agree with everything @catieQ said. [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] are my favorites on their own and with your set! [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] would be third choice. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] are both sweet but seem a little too unique and trendy next to [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m].
My personal favorite of your name options is [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], and I think it fits very well with [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]! [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] aren’t my personal favorites, but I think that they both fit well with your kids and love that they’d be on the theme of word names— [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] in particular would be a lovely option and I do love [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. [name_f]Maple[/name_f]’s nice, but I agree it may be a little too “out there” compared with your other children’s names.
For middles, [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Wendy[/name_f] and [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Wendy[/name_f] are nice— [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Wendy[/name_f] also works well if you don’t mind the double “y” ending (I actually kind of like it). [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Wendy[/name_f] doesn’t work for me. For the middle name [name_f]Claire[/name_f], I think [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is lovely. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], and [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] all work well too. And [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is by far my favorite [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] combo.
