I have baby #2 on the way and although I was brimming with name ideas for my first born I’m really stuck second time around. Our daughter is called [name]Astrid[/name] [name]Willow[/name] which I absolutely love and I’m finding it impossible to come up with a girls name that I like nearly as much that isn’t already used to death. Any suggestions?
Boys names we are pretty settled on [name]Jarvis[/name] although haven’t come up with a middle name yet. Would love some ideas!
Hmm…
[name]Astrid[/name] [name]Willow[/name] is gorgeous! [name]Love[/name] the combination of relatively modern slightly hippy [name]Willow[/name] in the middle name slot with the vintage classic [name]Astrid[/name]. I’m not that keen on [name]Jarvis[/name] but I can see the attraction!
I would vote for [name]Sybil[/name]. [name]Sybil[/name] [name]Daphne[/name]? [name]Sybil[/name] [name]Ramona[/name]? [name]Sybil[/name] [name]Acacia[/name]?
Thank you all, some really great ideas in there! I think [name]Scarlet[/name] and [name]Indigo[/name] jump out at me the most, these are both names that I’ve pondered but wondered if they are both getting too popular.
[name]Emmeline[/name] is another one that keeps coming to mind. Thoughts?
[name]Astrid[/name] [name]Willow[/name] is so beautiful! [name]Scarlet[/name] is getting pretty popular but [name]Indigo[/name] I have never met nor even heard of a baby with this name. I had a friend who if her son had been a girl he would have been [name]Indica[/name].
You’ve got a wonderful taste in names! [name]Astrid[/name] [name]Willow[/name] is unique without being tacky, and elegant without looking like its trying to hard.
Here are some you may like:
[name]Stella[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Summer[/name]
[name]Adele[/name]
Maybe [name]Stella[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]?
[name]Stella[/name] [name]June[/name]?
Or [name]Freya[/name]/[name]Freja[/name] if you wanted to continue the Scandinavian theme…
[name]Freya[/name] [name]June[/name]?
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Harlow[/name]?
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Winter[/name] to go with a W middle?
As for [name]Jarvis[/name]…
[name]Jarvis[/name] [name]Harlan[/name]
[name]Jarvis[/name] [name]Remy[/name]
[name]Jarvis[/name] [name]Lennox[/name] - means elm grove so similar meaning to [name]Willow[/name].
[name]Jarvis[/name] [name]Willem[/name] - again, W middle.
I think [name]Emmeline[/name] is gorgeous but is just going to get shortened to [name]Em[/name] or [name]Emmy[/name] the same way the more popular [name]Emily[/name] will…
my 2 cents worth But if you love it, go with your heart!
Thank you all, I’m very flattered at how much you like [name]Astrid[/name]! We love it too. Thank you.
Some really awesome name suggestions in there, thanks for your help!
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Esme[/name] but my sister has just bought some chickens and named one of them [name]Esme[/name]! So that has put me off a bit
I’m loving [name]Cleo[/name], very nice indeed. I’m also loving [name]Jarvis[/name] [name]Willem[/name], lovely.
I do agree that [name]Emmeline[/name] would just get shortened to [name]Emme[/name], thats a good point. I think at this date [name]Indigo[/name] might be winning although I’m going to mention [name]Cleo[/name] to my hubby!
I love [name]Astrid[/name], it was on my list.
Here are the other girls names that were on my list, some I used and some I could not sell my husband on
[name]Sylvie[/name]
[name]Greta[/name]
[name]Thea[/name]
[name]Maren[/name]
[name]Solveig[/name]
[name]Freya[/name]
[name]Signe[/name]
[name]Ingrid[/name]
[name]Annika[/name]
[name]Susanna[/name]/[name]Sanna[/name]
[name]Indigo[/name] is my favorite name with [name]Astrid[/name]. They go together well without being too matchy. I also like [name]Sybil[/name], [name]Juniper[/name], [name]Esme[/name] and [name]Cleo[/name].
