We have two boys [name_u]Owen[/name_u] and [name_u]Seth[/name_u]. Expecting our third and struggling with both boy and girl names.
For a boy I want [name_m]Levi[/name_m] and husband wants [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and both of us aren’t keen on the others pick.
For a girl, the middle name will be [name_f]Joy[/name_f]. Husband wants [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] but is a no go as just way to popular for me. The only contender right now is [name_f]Nora[/name_f].
Your sons have such wonderful, modern, stylish names. Some ideas:
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]: This is the first name I thought of for you. At #97, it is far less popular than #2 [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], and has the same great “-via” sound and lively nature. The “v” sound seems to be a theme throughout your favorite names, with both [name_m]Levi[/name_m] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is one of the brightest, sweetest, loveliest names out there. [name_f]Violet[/name_f]: This seems like a just-about-perfect choice. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] picks up the “v” of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], plus the “o” of [name_f]Nora[/name_f], and is a subtle nature name like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] with the sweetness of [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. At #48, it is less popular than #28 [name_u]Owen[/name_u] as well as [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] (#28 for girls), but is familiar and recognizable. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is a vivd, classic choice. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]: Seems to be the perfect stylistic balance between [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. It is an evergreen, beautiful name, and a nature name like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. It also has the gentleness of [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. [name_u]Owen[/name_u], [name_u]Seth[/name_u], and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] are natural siblings: Strong consonant sounds and such strength. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is quiet yet vibrant. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]: A solidly top 100 name, at number 79, but less popular than both [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. It packs a lot of meaning and style into few syllables, just like [name_u]Owen[/name_u] and [name_u]Seth[/name_u], and is also four letters. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is vibrant, classic, and gorgeous. [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]/[name_f]Rachel[/name_f]: What about these longer, equally classic “r” names? They seem to suit the gentleness of your style plus the vivid sounds of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] and [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] are darling. [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]: At number 32, this name is right on par with your sons’ names and your other favorites, but that most certainly isn’t all it has going for it. It is just as sweet and vintage as [name_f]Nora[/name_f], but longer, like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is so lovely. [name_f]Eva[/name_f]: [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is number 73, so while it has the sounds of several far more popular names, it in and of itself is not overused. This name is simple, meaningful, and impactful, and it has the “v” sound. [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is a bright, elegant name. [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]: This is one of my favorite names ever. It reminds me of the [name_m]Levi[/name_m] from your boys’ list in that it is classic and evocative. It has the ending of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], but the sweetness of [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is so wonderful, and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] makes a natural sibling to [name_u]Owen[/name_u] and [name_u]Seth[/name_u]. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]: [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]. Six letters, so much style. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is a “v” nature name like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] that is shorter like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and maintains its sweetness. It is a modern favorite, but not too popular, and is fantastic with [name_u]Owen[/name_u] and [name_u]Seth[/name_u]. [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]: Less popular than [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], more popular than [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] perfectly balances sweetness and spunk. [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] flows wonderfully. Another thing I noticed: [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is on your list, but substitute a letter and you get the lovely [name_f]Cora[/name_f].
If [name_f]Nora[/name_f] isn’t “the one”, then maybe…
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Vera[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]
