Sibling name help

So hubby and I can never agree on a name… so we need lots of options!

Not sure on gender yet but boys name is sorted.
We have probably (maybe) choosen [name_f]Catalina[/name_f] as a middle name. Open to a second middle if it completes the name.
Last name is a [name_m]Mac[/name_m] name.

Things we need to avoid are [name_f]El[/name_f] names and Ev names as siblings have those names.
Also need to avoid elle endings and line endings.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] a good nickname and prob won’t go with a name if it doesn’t have a nickname.

Names that end in the ie sound don’t work with the surname.

I personally don’t like popular names but as long as I don’t know anyone else with the name it may get over the line for me. Hubby likes traditional names and some Spanish names. I like most names particularly Welsh names ending in the wen sound and artistic boho namesbut generallynot traditional or biblical… hence why we can never find anything we both love!

We don’t compromise when we choose our names we both have to 100% love it or it goes on the reject heap.

For reference names I like at the moment but aren’t sold on or don’t work with middle /hubby doesn’t like are:

[name_f]Monet[/name_f]
[name_f]Emerald[/name_f]
[name_f]Mercy[/name_f]
Meridwen
[name_f]Paloma[/name_f]
[name_f]Maiwenn[/name_f]
[name_u]Bliss[/name_u]
[name_f]Arwen[/name_f]
[name_m]Etienne[/name_m] (I know this is masculine but I love it so much for a girl)
[name_u]Seren[/name_u]
[name_f]Sonata[/name_f]
[name_f]Soraya[/name_f]
[name_f]Clodagh[/name_f]

Names hubby has previously liked:

[name_f]April[/name_f]
[name_f]Cherise[/name_f] / [name_f]Cheri[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Amy[/name_f]
[name_u]Holly[/name_u]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_u]June[/name_u]

So any suggestions are welcome!! Thanks for making it to the end of the long post!

[name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f]

Thanks for your suggestions! [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Opal[/name_f] so much unfortunately hubby doesn’t :sob:

[name_u]Wynne[/name_u] is also a name in considering as a second middle!

Maybe [name_f]Merewen[/name_f] or [name_f]Maren[/name_f] would be a good compromise as they’re closer to Meridwen and [name_f]Maiwenn[/name_f] but maybe a little less intimidating?

Other suggestions (I’ll try to give unusual and common):

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] / [name_u]Allison[/name_u]
[name_f]Rohana[/name_f]
[name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f]
[name_f]Valentina[/name_f]
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Issoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Bronwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Nolwen[/name_f] (this one might be a particularly good fit for your taste)
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Danica[/name_f]
[name_f]Hannelore[/name_f] (the option for a “Hannah” nickname might help with your husband’s taste)
[name_u]Sora[/name_u]
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] (more common but still less so than Anne/Anna)
[name_f]Suzette[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgianna[/name_f]

Hopefully these help

Thanks for your thoughtful suggestions!
I’ve always liked [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] I’ll have to run it past Hubby see what he thinks too!

Of your lists, I really like [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] ( - look up Eitenne [name_m]Steven[/name_m] on Australian The Voice on YouTube - crap show but watched the first few eps and a talented and beautiful (f) [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] on there)! I’m not sure it flows to [name_f]Catalina[/name_f] though - Celina/Selena, [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Katrina[/name_f], [name_f]Serena[/name_f], [name_f]Irina[/name_f], [name_u]Celeste[/name_u], Marlina, [name_f]Regina[/name_f] etc or even [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] sound better as middles after [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] to me - but it depends on your last name (ie how many syllables). I also very much like [name_f]Maiwenn[/name_f], [name_f]Arwen[/name_f], [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], [name_f]Soraya[/name_f] and [name_u]Seren[/name_u]. I like [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] - and of course [name_u]Holly[/name_u], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Amy[/name_f] but not sure they’re big enough names for your taste (and all but [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] suffer the potential -ie problem)…

Names you both might like:

[name_f]Anwen[/name_f] (the band Stornoway has just release a song called Anwen)
[name_f]Sarai[/name_f] (“eye” ending)
[name_f]Reina[/name_f]
[name_f]Carys[/name_f]
[name_f]Araceli[/name_f] (a Spanish option?)
[name_f]Alouette[/name_f] (maybe too close to El)
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f] (see if double ie sounds work?)
[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] (nn Pip/Pippi/Pippa)
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
[name_f]Cosima[/name_f]
[name_f]Inès[/name_f] / [name_f]Inez[/name_f]
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f]
[name_f]Francine[/name_f]
[name_f]Alizée[/name_f] (again re El)
[name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] (I prefer the traditional spelling)
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u]
[name_f]Cambrie[/name_f]
[name_u]Meredith[/name_u]

(I’m not great with Spanish names but maybe with [name_f]Catalina[/name_f] as a middle you may not want a Spanish first as well?)

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!

[name_f]Mairead[/name_f]
[name_f]Orla[/name_f]
[name_f]Gladys[/name_f]
[name_f]Deirdre[/name_f]
[name_f]Bernadine[/name_f]
[name_f]Marceline[/name_f]
[name_f]Imelda[/name_f]
[name_f]Olwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Wendy[/name_f]
[name_f]Winona[/name_f]

Oh I’m so excited to see a female [name_m]Etienne[/name_m]! That gives me so much confidence to use it as I’d never use it on a male well definitely not in Australia! I may have put another name in between to improve the flow, let me know if you have a brainwave there!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] your suggestions of [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] and [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] also. Thanks

Thanks for your input! [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Orla[/name_f]!

I might be wrong on the lack of flow once last name in play but to break it up, maybe [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f], [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f], [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] Catlina, [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] [name_u]Harlow[/name_u] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f], [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] [name_f]Faye[/name_f] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f], [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f], [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f], [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] [name_f]Mireille[/name_f] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f], [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] [name_f]Maiwenn[/name_f] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f], [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] [name_u]Rose[/name_u] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f], [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f], [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f], [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] [name_f]Amy[/name_f] Catalina…
