Expecting our third, a boy in [name_u]December[/name_u]. We have a 3 year old [name_f]Helen[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and a 1 year old [name_u]John[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], who we exclusively call JT. Their names are combinations of family and old-fashioned/classic 1920s names. So far, we are liking [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] (nn Freddie) , [name_u]Edward[/name_u] (nn [name_m]Ed[/name_m] or Eddie) , [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] (nn [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] or Frank) , and [name_m]Archie[/name_m].
We also like [name_u]Arthur[/name_u], [name_u]Julian[/name_u], [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] but can’t use them because either friends/family have already claimed or they don’t go well with our last name (Burns).
Which of these do you like best and any other suggestions are welcome!! Thanks in advance.
I aboslutely love [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_u]George[/name_u] but my husband isn’t convinced!!! Thank you i love all these other suggestions too!
I think it would be adorable if you named him [name_u]James[/name_u]. I know the name is very common but I think the nickname [name_u]Jem[/name_u] outweighs that. [name_u]Jem[/name_u] is sooo cute. You could have middle name [name_u]Edward[/name_u] to continue honouring your family.
[name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] nn [name_m]Lance[/name_m]
[name_m]Reginald[/name_m] nn [name_u]Reggie[/name_u]
[name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] nn Mack/Mal
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] nn [name_u]Harry[/name_u]
I agree, I think [name_u]James[/name_u] would be a great option for this sibset. It is a one syllable J name like his brother, plus the nn [name_u]Jem[/name_u] is one of my favorites. I think [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Edward[/name_u] or [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] would make for a very handsome boy’s name.
[name_f]Helen[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] & [name_u]John[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] feel so classic and I think you have a great list to work with.
I really like [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] & [name_u]Edward[/name_u] with [name_f]Helen[/name_f] & [name_u]John[/name_u]. I think my favourite is [name_u]Edward[/name_u] I just really like the simplicity of [name_u]Edward[/name_u] the name feels very classic and visually looks great in your sibling set.
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] sounds great but boy is it common! There are 3 Freddie’s in my son’s class alone. If that doesn’t bother you.
I think the following names sound great with [name_u]John[/name_u] and [name_f]Helen[/name_f].
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] and [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] are both great with [name_f]Helen[/name_f] and [name_u]John[/name_u]! Knowing [name_u]John[/name_u] goes pretty exclusively by JT makes me feel [name_m]Archie[/name_m] is a strong choice here too.
Some other names you may like:
[name_m]Edgar[/name_m]
[name_u]Noel[/name_u]
[name_m]Bernard[/name_m]
[name_m]Rupert[/name_m]
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Gordon[/name_m]
[name_m]Wilbur[/name_m]
[name_m]Alphonse[/name_m] (like [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] he could go by Alfie)
[name_u]Tristan[/name_u]
[name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u]
[name_u]Adrian[/name_u]
[name_u]Sylvester[/name_u]
[name_u]Clyde[/name_u]
I’m a big fan of [name_u]Edward[/name_u] NN [name_m]Ed[/name_m]. I may be partial to it because that NN is within my own family, but the full name is [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] in mine. I’ve always thought [name_u]Edward[/name_u] was handsome and the NN is unique because no one really uses it anymore. [name_u]Theo[/name_u] is similar to [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] but different, and I like how it is short to match your son John’s short name. It is also giving me vintage yet modern vibes like JT gives me.
