Sibling names for big brother Evan

[name]Just[/name] found out last night that we are pregnant with our 2nd baby due in [name]March[/name] 2013 - we have a ways to go but already (even before knew we were having baby) thinking of names. Now it is just more REAL than speculation!! Our ds is [name]Evan[/name] [name]James[/name] as a lot of you already know:-) … wdyt of :

girl

[name]Claire[/name] [name]Anneliese[/name] ([name]Anne[/name] -Mom’s mn and [name]Lee[/name]- Grandma’s mn)
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Anneliese[/name]
[name]Claire[/name] [name]Rachel[/name] ([name]Rachel[/name] - my fn)

boy:

[name]Jackson[/name] [name]Porter[/name] (we know [name]Jackson[/name] is popular but have always loved this name and still do) and [name]Porter[/name] is my Pawpaw’s mn…

do these sound and look good with [name]Evan[/name] [name]James[/name]. which of the 3 girl’s names do you prefer and do you even like [name]Jackson[/name] [name]Porter[/name]?

thanks!

Congrats on your pregnancy! I think [name]Claire[/name] [name]Anneliese[/name] flows better than [name]Clara[/name] [name]Anneliese[/name] (the back-to-back a’s aren’t ideal). I think I’ve said this on another thread but here goes. [name]Evan[/name] is the Welsh form of [name]John[/name] and many Johns use [name]Jack[/name] as a nickname (my father was one of them). Therefore, it’s like naming your second boy “son of [name]Jack[/name]” (eg. “son of [name]John[/name]” and by association “son of [name]Evan[/name]”). To me, [name]Jackson[/name] is too similar to [name]Evan[/name] both in meaning and sound. If this fact doesn’t bother you, then choose [name]Jackson[/name] [name]Porter[/name]. The combo itself flows nicely.

I like [name]Jackson[/name] with [name]Evan[/name]. Most non name nerds won’t know that they are related in a sense, and how often will their names be mentioned in connection with their siblings once they are adults? [name]Claire[/name] goes well with [name]Evan[/name] in my opinion but neither one of the name combinations works for me personally. Out of the two I’d prefer [name]Anneliese[/name] over [name]Rachel[/name].
