Sibling names for Harlan

We are having baby boy #2 and stuck on names. Considering [name_m]Hendrick[/name_m]/[name_m]Hendrik[/name_m]/Hendric (unsure on spelling, which is your favorite?) But would it get shortened to [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Rick[/name_m]? Thoughts?

I think a [name_m]Hendrik[/name_m]'s name would get shortened to [name_f]Hen[/name_f]. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] seems too formal to work as a nickname, and [name_m]Rick[/name_m] sounds too dated for anyone to want to call him that. That said, if you want to be sure they won’t call him [name_m]Rick[/name_m] you could go for [name_m]Hendrix[/name_m] instead. Or if you want to 100% avoid [name_m]Henry[/name_m] I’d go for [name_m]Henrik[/name_m], it’s so similar to [name_m]Henry[/name_m] that no one would remove just one letter to call him [name_m]Henry[/name_m] as a nickname.
I prefer [name_m]Hendrix[/name_m]/[name_m]Henrik[/name_m] to [name_m]Hendrik[/name_m], they just look a bit more modern to me, like [name_m]Harlan[/name_m]. Are you trying to repeat initials or did it just randomly happen? Other H names that work with [name_m]Harlan[/name_m] are [name_m]Holden[/name_m], [name_m]Howell[/name_m], [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m].

Not necessarily wanting to use another H name just so happened that way. But thank you! Considering [name_m]Henrik[/name_m] as well.
