My husband and I are not sure that we are going to have more children, but I told him, before we decide to we need to have a sibling name in mind. [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] are so similar in spelling, I feel like we can’t just give a third child a random name that doesn’t somehow fit in with these two. Some names that I have thought about are:
I love [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Olive[/name] and [name]Liv[/name], but I feel they are way too close to sounding like [name]Oliver[/name]. We are not pregnant now, nor are we going to be in the next year (our kids are 2 and 6 months). [name]Both[/name] my husband and I come from families of three, so we know that another baby may be in our future. Thanks for your input!
[name]Ezra[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it!
[name]Evian[/name] - is this pronounced like the water? Like ev-EE-ahn. It reminds me too much of the brand.
[name]Vera[/name] - I love this name. It’s a bit close to [name]Violet[/name], but I still like it. The letters of this name also spell [name]Reva[/name] ([name]REE[/name]-va) not sure if you like it but it’s a good way to use letters from [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Violet[/name].
[name]Liev[/name] - I love this name too. [name]Levi[/name] is a great name, though more popular. And [name]Lev[/name] is another name, meaning lion.
[name]Ezra[/name]- love [name]Ezra[/name], and it fits in stylistically
[name]Evian[/name]- All I can think of is [name]Evian[/name] Water, maybe just [name]Evan[/name]?
[name]Vera[/name]- [name]LOVE[/name]! though it is almost too close in sound with [name]Violet[/name] & [name]Oliver[/name], maybe say them together out loud and see if you like it?
[name]Liev[/name]- never heard this name before how do you pronounce it, when I say it outloud it kinda sounds like the word ‘leave’
[name]Both[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] & [name]Violet[/name] have very soft, round kind of sounds so I’ll try and suggest some that I feel are similar
Girls:
[name]Ava[/name]- I know it’s epidemically popular, but it fits with your sibset and it is a gorgeous name…
Avonlea
[name]Chloe[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Eva[/name]
[name]Finola[/name]
[name]Fiona[/name]
[name]Genoveva[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Ivory[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Leila[/name]
[name]Leona[/name]
[name]Nola[/name]
[name]Nova[/name]
[name]Ophelia[/name]
[name]Opal[/name]
[name]Oriel[/name]
[name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Vivian[/name]
[name]Willa[/name]
if you like [name]Olivia[/name] but don’t want to use it (I agree that it’s too similar to [name]Oliver[/name]), you may like [name]Livia[/name] on it’s own.
What about
[name]Evie[/name]/[name]Eve[/name]
[name]Levi[/name]
[name]Avi[/name]
[name]Avery[/name]
[name]Everett[/name]
[name]Ever[/name]
[name]Evangeline[/name]/[name]Evangelina[/name]
I just realized something - If you do [name]Evelyn[/name], then an L name for another child, you’d have initials from each first name to spell out [name]LOVE[/name].
[name]Ava[/name] was the first name that came to mind. Yes, it’s super popular, but it definitely fits. I also like [name]Eveline[/name] and [name]Everett[/name] a lot!
I agree with alexa400. I think the things that tie [name]Oliver[/name] to [name]Violet[/name] are a distinct O sound and the the 3 syllables, first syllable emphasized. With this in mind, what about:
