Sibling names for Queenie?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I quite like the name [name_f]Queenie[/name_f] and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on which names to use for her siblings. Also, is there a longer, perhaps slightly more sophisticated, names which [name_f]Queenie[/name_f] could be a nickname for? Thanks!

Hmm… not too sure about pairings for [name_f]Queenie[/name_f]. As for a full name though, I think anything with both a Q and an N would work - [name_f]Angelique[/name_f], [name_u]Dominique[/name_u], [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f], [name_f]Jonquille[/name_f], [name_u]Quincy[/name_u], [name_f]Quintana[/name_f], [name_f]Quintessa[/name_f], [name_f]Veronique[/name_f].

I really like the idea of using a name that means queen, and calling her [name_f]Queenie[/name_f]. I find [name_f]Queenie[/name_f] a little insubstantial and presumptuous on its own.

[name_f]Juno[/name_f] “queen of the heavens”
[name_f]Malka[/name_f] “queen”
[name_f]Raina[/name_f] “queen”
[name_f]Reine[/name_f] “queen”
[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] “divine queen”
[name_f]Tiana[/name_f] “fairy queen”

I also feel like [name_f]Queenie[/name_f] could be a bit difficult to find sibling names for! Some of the names I listed about could be used as sister names. [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_f]Raina[/name_f] would be cute together.
If you were going to go all out and use all “royal” names:
[name_m]Balthasar[/name_m], [name_m]Darius[/name_m], [name_m]Malik[/name_m], [name_m]Melchior[/name_m] or [name_m]Regis[/name_m] for boys.
The previously mentioned names and [name_f]Iolani[/name_f], [name_f]Maelie[/name_f], [name_f]Orla[/name_f], [name_f]Suri[/name_f] and [name_f]Zara[/name_f] for girls.

That could possibly come across as a little overboard or tacky tho. So a few other random names:

[name_u]Ashby[/name_u], [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], [name_m]Cadmus[/name_m], [name_u]Harley[/name_u], [name_m]Jove[/name_m], [name_m]Oceanus[/name_m], [name_u]Orion[/name_u], [name_m]Osiris[/name_m], [name_m]Roman[/name_m], [name_m]Thor[/name_m], [name_u]Wynn[/name_u], [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]

[name_f]Amedea[/name_f], [name_f]Arabel[/name_f], [name_u]Bell[/name_u], [name_f]Clemency[/name_f], [name_f]Ivana[/name_f], [name_f]Nuala[/name_f], [name_f]Orchid[/name_f], [name_f]Zarina[/name_f]

whiteteaandginger – I quite like [name_f]Quintessa[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Queenie[/name_f]’ and, to a lesser degree, [name_f]Quintana[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Queenie[/name_f]’. Thanks for the suggestions!

columbiacharm – I understand what you mean about its style; I definitely wouldn’t put ‘[name_f]Queenie[/name_f]’ on the legal documents and such. I like the connection between the meaning and then using [name_f]Queenie[/name_f] as a nickname, but I don’t know whether it would be too obvious for some people. I get [name_f]Tiana[/name_f] (the Disney [name_f]Princess[/name_f] may have been of some help here!), [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_f]Raina[/name_f]/[name_f]Reine[/name_f], but I wouldn’t know the others just on sight. For the names you suggested for siblings, I love [name_m]Balthasar[/name_m], [name_m]Darius[/name_m], [name_m]Melchior[/name_m], [name_u]Orion[/name_u], [name_m]Regis[/name_m], [name_m]Thor[/name_m] and [name_u]Wynn[/name_u] for brothers, and [name_f]Arabel[/name_f], [name_f]Clemency[/name_f], [name_f]Ivana[/name_f] and [name_f]Raina[/name_f] for sisters! Thanks!

@amelia1990 I hope you didn’t take offense by what I said about [name_f]Queenie[/name_f]! I just can’t imagine just [name_f]Queenie[/name_f] as a full name. It does make a cute nickname tho! I know what you mean about the connection between those names and [name_f]Queenie[/name_f] not being very obvious. I’m often not very enthused about nicknames coming from the meaning of a name, it seems, like you said, most people wouldn’t catch on. But some work better then others.
Your welcome and all the best :).
