Sibling names "go" together

I already have a son ([name_m]Levi[/name_m]), and a daughter ([name_f]Eva[/name_f]). I wasn’t planning on having any more children, but here I am pregnant with #3. And while I have names that I like ([name_u]Vivian[/name_u] for a girl, [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] for a boy), I’m just not sure if they “go” with my other childrens’ names. Has anyone else had this problem?

i have [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] (B) & [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] (G) both are eeee ending sounds!

if i was to have another i am drawn to ee ending names… lol like [name_m]Levi[/name_m] for example… lol

but want to have names like [name_m]Xander[/name_m] or [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]… lol xx

i av also said i would never use another ee ending name also… lol whether will happen is another story!! xxx

I think they go together. [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is especially connected because of the v’s.

I was actually thinking when I saw your children’s names that [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] would make a great choice with all the Vs.

[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]! Think it goes great! I am not a fan of [name_m]Jethro[/name_m]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Jed[/name_m]?

[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] matches their names great! I really like the fact they all have 'V’s in!

Boys’ names with a ‘V’ in:

[name_m]Calvin[/name_m]*
[name_m]Vaughan[/name_m]*
[name_m]Kevin[/name_m]
[name_u]Evan[/name_u]
[name_m]Victor[/name_m]
[name_m]Vincent[/name_m]
[name_m]Harvey[/name_m]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_u]River[/name_u]*
[name_m]Ivan[/name_m]*
[name_m]Gavin[/name_m]
[name_m]Vance[/name_m]*
[name_m]Travis[/name_m]
[name_u]Bevan[/name_u]
[name_m]Trevor[/name_m]
[name_m]Alvin[/name_m]

Since our last name is one syllable I want to stay away from one syllable first names

I was thinking of using the middle name [name_m]Steven[/name_m] if the baby is a boy, so I want to stay away from names that end in “n”. I’m also just not sure if I like any other boys names that have “V” in them. Ugh…

[name_m]Levi[/name_m], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], and [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] ties well for me - not just the V, but the number of syllables and being fairly classic.
[name_m]Levi[/name_m], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], and [name_m]Victor[/name_m] works too, but most people don’t like [name_m]Victor[/name_m] as much as I do.

I love the name [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] but it feels long compared to [name_m]Levi[/name_m] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f]. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] has a 2-syllable sound I think works better. I am really hung up on matching syllable length though, more than a lot of other people are.

I do think [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] works. [name_m]Levi[/name_m] and [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] have a similar flavour, and of course the length is good with both [name_m]Levi[/name_m] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f].

[name_m]Levi[/name_m] and [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] are two of my favourite boys’ names.

[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] has the chic vintage charm of [name_f]Eva[/name_f] and shares the “v” and [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] is a Biblical name like [name_m]Levi[/name_m]. I don’t see any problem with styles not matching. So don’t worry, they “go” together!

I think the importance of sibling names going together has to do with not typecasting our children or making any of them feel less special because of a major difference in names. For example, with your children’s names, a daughter named [name_u]Madison[/name_u] or [name_u]Harper[/name_u] may prove difficult for this child if she is a girly-girl and envies her sisters ultra feminine name. A son named [name_u]Aidan[/name_u] may be grateful he has a more common name than his brother [name_m]Levi[/name_m] or resent it terribly.

I think your choices work well with your current childrens names. [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] works with [name_m]Levi[/name_m] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f] because of the ‘v’ tie in and because [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f] have the same level of femininity. [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] works well with your children’s names because of the Biblical connection.

I agree with the other posters; I love [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] with your names, but not [name_m]Jethro[/name_m]. I know a lot of people are suggesting V-names, but what about other biblical names? [name_m]Levi[/name_m] is biblical and [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is similar to [name_f]Eve[/name_f].

[name_m]Jacob[/name_m]
[name_m]Abraham[/name_m]
[name_m]Moses[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_u]Micah[/name_u]
[name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Abel[/name_m]

I think [name_m]Levi[/name_m], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] would be beautiful! They’re all short, two-syllables, and each has a different sounding end. Also, they’re all really classic names. [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is nice as well, it just seems a bit long and “grown-up” compared to the other two. But if you really love it, then how it sounds with the other two names shouldn’t be that much of a factor. Good luck, and let us know what you decide.
