Sibling names to go with Carmen?

I posted earlier and I think my husband and I have decided to name our first daughter [name]Carmen[/name]. The only problem… neither of us can come up with names that would go with [name]Carmen[/name] for our future children. I don’t want to get too ahead of myself, but I’m worried that my other children won’t have names that flow well as a sibling group.

A few things… I know [name]Carmen[/name] is a Spanish/Latin name, but I really don’t want an international theme, not that that’s bad, but I’d prefer to stay away from any themes.

Are there any names that you know of that flow well with [name]Carmen[/name]?
We’re really looking for a name that for a girl - is pretty but strong
and for boys - is strong and masculine

Any ideas would be great!

I love [name]Carmen[/name].
Here are some names to go with [name]Carmen[/name] (meaning: red)
[name]Ruby[/name] (also means red)
[name]Scarlett[/name] (ditto)
[name]Angelina[/name], [name]Helena[/name], Maddelena, [name]Melina[/name] ([name]Melina[/name] means yellow) nn [name]Lena[/name]
[name]Estelle[/name], [name]Estella[/name] nn [name]Stella[/name]
[name]Bianca[/name] (means white)
[name]Beatrice[/name] nn [name]Bea[/name]
[name]Ava[/name] ([name]Ava[/name] is very popular)
[name]Iris[/name] (means rainbow)
[name]Lucia[/name] (means light) nn [name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Rosemary[/name] nn [name]Roxie[/name], [name]Rosie[/name], [name]Romy[/name]-I love [name]Carmen[/name] and [name]Rosie[/name] together
[name]Rosalind[/name], [name]Rosamond[/name] nn [name]Rose[/name], [name]Rosie[/name]
My faves are [name]Flora[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Rosie[/name] short for [name]Rosemary[/name], [name]Stella[/name], [name]Bianca[/name], and [name]Lena[/name]. Those are all great! Maybe you would like [name]Georgia[/name], too. Maybe you would like [name]Tessa[/name].

You’re right, that’s a tough one!

For girls: [name]Sabine[/name], [name]Anya[/name], [name]Delia[/name]?

For boys: [name]Leo[/name], [name]Samuel[/name], [name]Wyatt[/name]?

I forgot to put down brother names! Olivegreen’s suggestions are wonderful. Also [name]Hugo[/name], [name]Dexter[/name], [name]Rufus[/name], [name]Felix[/name], [name]Andreas[/name], [name]George[/name], [name]Noah[/name], [name]Elias[/name], [name]Basil[/name], [name]Jack[/name], [name]Louis[/name], [name]Miles[/name], [name]Milo[/name], [name]Theo[/name], [name]Enzo[/name], [name]Ansel[/name], and [name]Victor[/name].

I know what you mean about staying away from themes. I’m not big on them myself. My theme is ‘they sound good together’ lol.

[name]Carmen[/name] is a very nice name. I fell in love with the name Carmandy (sp?) from watching What Not to Wear because I liked the choice nn [name]Carmen[/name] (:

Any who… [name]Carmen[/name] is really open to a lot of names out there, but I understand what you’re saying. You wouldn’t be putting [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Amelia[/name] or [name]Jane[/name] with it. But, are those really your style? Here are some strong names that might be in and around the style of naming your looking at… maybe not. But, at least they sound good together. That shows hope doesn’t it, LOL

[name]Carmen[/name] & [name]Seana[/name] (both very fem… with a hint of masculinity)
[name]Carmen[/name] & [name]Naomi[/name] (maybe to international for you?)
[name]Carmen[/name] & [name]Sophie[/name] (together, it almost makes [name]Carmen[/name] look frilly)
[name]Carmen[/name] & Derian (equal in femininity)
[name]Carmen[/name] & [name]Shannon[/name]
[name]Carmen[/name] & [name]Livia[/name] ; [name]Liv[/name] (both cute on a little girl but will grow nicely. I can picture spunky grandmas, lol)

Those were just some examples… but, I think you’ll be just fine coming up with another name that’s a perfect fit for her big sister [name]Carmen[/name], you know… in the years to come (:
