I swore I’d never be this parent, but most of the names my husband and I agree on just happen to begin with S. We have one son, [name_m]Silas[/name_m], and are hoping for 2-3 more children. Are these names just too similar?
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] (boy)
[name_f]Selah[/name_f] (girl, pronounced [name_m]Say[/name_m]-luh)
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] (girl)
I think [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] and [name_f]Selah[/name_f] are fine with [name_m]Silas[/name_m]. [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] is a little more on the line between nicely complimentary and super matchy because it shares the “s” and the long “i” sound, but I definitely think it’s acceptable if you really love it.
I think [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] are fine, [name_f]Selah[/name_f] you could still definitely work with though it feels the closest to [name_m]Silas[/name_m] of the three to me.
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] and [name_f]Selah[/name_f] are fine, I quite like that sibset actually. [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] and [name_m]Silas[/name_m] though are a bit close, but it’s totally up to you. If you can’t easily say “[name_m]Silas[/name_m] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]” or “[name_m]Silas[/name_m]! [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]!” then I would maybe stay away from using them together.
