Sibling names

My two favourite girls names are [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Adeline[/name] [name]Ellis[/name] - [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Adeline[/name] are just names I love, and [name]Ellis[/name] is a family name we want to pass on. I’m worried that [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Ellis[/name] are too similar.

[name]Eleanor[/name] would be [name]Nora[/name], and [name]Adeline[/name] would probably be [name]Addie[/name].

I’m also after any other suggestions for middle names for [name]Eleanor[/name]. Our surname is three syllables, starting with a [name]MAY[/name] sound.

Hm… I like the pairing [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] more than [name]Adeline[/name] [name]Ellis[/name], but I like [name]Adeline[/name] ([name]Addie[/name]) more than [name]Eleanor[/name], and I completely understand the passing on a name thing. My oldest daughter’s middle name will be [name]Jane[/name], no matter what, because that’s my middle name, my mother’s middle name, my grandmothers middle name, and my great great grandma’s first name. I love carrying the name [name]Jane[/name] with me, so if [name]Ellis[/name] really means a lot to you, then I think it’s important to incorporate it in your daughter’s name! Have you thought about a double middle name?

[name]Adeline[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Ellis[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Ellis[/name]

I also completely agree that [name]Eleanor[/name] is too close to [name]Ellis[/name] to use both in a name. Best of luck!

I dont think [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Ellis[/name] are too close the way you plan to use them. As long as you keep them separate and use one as a first, and the other as a middle, I see no problem with either!
