Yeah we considered the [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] spelling but we really prefer the original [name_m]Welch[/name_m] spelling. But we do worry it will constantly be spelled wrong because the new spelling is more popular. ”*♀”
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! They’ll all have enchanted names.
I also prefer [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] just because -en seems to slow down the name to GwenDOLLen. But if you go with -en, I don’t think it’ll be spelt wrongly bc of that.
These are incredible sister names! You have chosen beautiful names for your daughters and now you have another beautiful name to match! I actually prefer the [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] spelling myself, and I love how the names sounds said with more of an -en sound at the end. Cute middle names you have going! Good luck.
If using the original form is important to you, have you considered Gwendoloena? I believe that’s the first use of it as a feminine name. Or [name_f]Gwendoline[/name_f], the 1800s spelling. Personally I really like the -line ending. It’s so elegant.
I think [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] go very well together. [name_m]Everley[/name_m] a little less so, because it’s a newer and more American sounding/less British than the other two. But nothing wrong with having a diverse sibset.
I know what you mean. Everyone thinks of the newer American [name_u]Everly[/name_u]. But [name_m]Everley[/name_m] is actually a place name in [name_f]England[/name_f] AND I heard the names for the first time on a old school British actress [name_m]Everley[/name_m] [name_m]Gregg[/name_m]. But it’s onky associated as newer here.
We did consider the most original spelling but it seemed a bit too complicated. [name_f]Gwendoline[/name_f] is pretty but I don’t like the way it looks like it could be pronounced. ” Great feedback!!
I love it. And honestly don’t worry about the spelling. It’s not like its made up or anything. People misspell even the simplest names. My name is super simple and only 5 letters and people still misspell it all the time. lol It’s pretty unavoidable.
I have a daughter named [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] and there’s a book series that we enjoy called The Wide-Awake [name_f]Princess[/name_f], with sisters [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f].
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] is lovely, although I agree it is more sublime than the trendy [name_m]Everley[/name_m] and fun [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]!
