We have four boys and we’re not planning on having any more children, but I can’t help but think of names just in case! Our boys are [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_u]Owen[/name_u] & [name_m]Miles[/name_m]. They all have two syllables, start with a different letter, I think they all have a similar “feel” and are close in popularity. (They also all have a different long vowel sound, but I know trying to find the perfect name with a “U” sound isn’t possible!)
What do you think the perfect BOY name would be to go with [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_u]Owen[/name_u] & [name_m]Miles[/name_m]?
For a girl I wouldn’t have the same crazy name criteria. Curious to what you think would be the best GIRL name as well.
I think [name_u]Jude[/name_u] would be a perfect fit. [name_u]Jude[/name_u] starts with a different letter and gives you the U sound. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though it’s only one syllable it has four letters like [name_m]Liam[/name_m] and [name_u]Owen[/name_u].
You could use [name_f]Julia[/name_f] if you have a girl
I think [name_u]Jude[/name_u] would be a perfect fit. [name_u]Jude[/name_u] starts with a different letter and gives you the U sound. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though it’s only one syllable it has four letters like [name_m]Liam[/name_m] and [name_u]Owen[/name_u].
You could use [name_f]Julia[/name_f] if you have a girl
[name_m]Ruben[/name_m], [name_m]Judah[/name_m], [name_m]Duncan[/name_m], and [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] come to mind right away.
[name_m]Reuben[/name_m] is my son’s name, so I’m biased toward [name_m]Ruben[/name_m] to some degree. I like the symmetry of the five-letter spelling alongside your boys’ shorter names.
[name_m]Judah[/name_m] is my favorite for a brother to [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_u]Owen[/name_u], and [name_m]Miles[/name_m]. Two syllables, a long u AND an ending sound all to himself, shared Hebrew origin like [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], and he just sounds like a laidback guy. It’s not quite as common as your other sons’ names, but it’s familiar to most people.
[name_m]Duncan[/name_m] and [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] are longer by only one letter, and have the cute shorty nicknames [name_m]Dunc[/name_m] and [name_m]Tuck[/name_m]. I was just trying to think of names with a “U” in them, but [name_m]Duncan[/name_m] is quite friendly and fits in with [name_m]Liam[/name_m] and [name_u]Owen[/name_u] as a name originating from English/Scottish/Irish/Welsh languages. [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] has a down-home kinda feel to it which is not entirely out of place with [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] and [name_m]Miles[/name_m], but I prefer [name_m]Duncan[/name_m].
I second [name_u]Jude[/name_u] & [name_m]Judah[/name_m].
Other suggestions:
[name_m]Luke[/name_m]/[name_m]Lucas[/name_m]/[name_u]Luca[/name_u]/[name_m]Luka[/name_m]
[name_m]Hugh[/name_m]/[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_m]Louis[/name_m]/[name_m]Louie[/name_m]/[name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
I really do love [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. This is my husband’s uncle’s name, though he actually goes by his middle name. We see him once or twice a year and we are not very close, but he does share our last name. That is the only reason I’ve been put off by [name_u]Jude[/name_u]… but I think I could get over that because it does seem to fit (almost) perfect. If only there was a two syllable “[name_u]Jude[/name_u]” name I liked! I do like [name_m]Judah[/name_m], but I just don’t think it’s our “style” as much as [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is.
I also really like [name_m]Asher[/name_m], but I think [name_u]Jude[/name_u] just “fits” better.
For girls I really like [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Bella[/name_f], [name_f]Carys[/name_f] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], but can’t use any of them for various reasons! I have always loved [name_f]Alaina[/name_f], just don’t know how great it goes with our boys. My other girl pick right now is [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
