Sibling suggestion for baby number 4

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone! I’m a longtime lurker, never a poster.

I’m currently pregnant with baby number four, due in [name_f]May[/name_f]. We won’t be finding out what we are having. My husband and I seem set on our choice for a boy name but our girl name is a big fat question mark.

Older siblings are big brother [name_u]Jerry[/name_u] [name_m]Landon[/name_m] (named [name_u]Jerry[/name_u] for both grandpas), and sisters [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] ([name_f]Clara[/name_f] for my great-grandmother) and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] ([name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] combining [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] on my husband’s side, [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] for my grandmother.)

I very much like vintage styled names, but names that still feel fresh. I may be slightly turned off by a name that is extremely popular, though I am incredibly fond of [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. We had [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] chosen before they started creeping up the popularity charts.

Other names I am currently loving are [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], [name_u]Waverly[/name_u], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Joanna[/name_f].

Possible middle names are [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f].

Thanks for any help!

I love the names [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Mae[/name_f], but I prefer the name when it’s spelled [name_f]May[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] or [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] are absolutely adorable combos. [name_u]Waverly[/name_u] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] sounds really nice as well.

[name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] make a great sibset! [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] also works great :).

[name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]

[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] or [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] sound nice with older sibs names

Are there any other family members you’d like to honor? It seems like that would be nice since your other kids’ names all honor family. We can probably suggest names that work for honoring even if you don’t like the family members’ actual names.

That said, I think [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] goes incredibly well with your other kids’ names!

[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] would be lovely!!

Some other ideas
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosanna[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]

My choice on its own would be Charlotte May, but it’s possibly a bit too close to Clara somehow. Actually, Annabel and Eleanor are close too, maybe that’s the charm! I love Juliet May and think it suits your others the best, but I naturally want to try for all four with own initials first!

Otherwise, Jerry, Clara, Eleanor and…

Liliane / Lillian May
Audrey May
Margaret Jane
Adelaide Jane
Delphine May
Frances May or Jane / Francine May
Matilda “Tilda” Jane
Rosemary (nice link back to Jerry) Jane
Sophie May
Lydia Jane or May
Victoria May

(I prefer May to Mae - Mae is pinup to me.)

Thanks for all of these suggestions everyone!

So, [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] would help to honor my grandmother [name_f]Ann[/name_f], and [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is the middle name of the grandmother I never got to meet. I happened to just love [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] on it’s own before I realized this! [name_f]Jane[/name_f] honors my husband’s mom.

My mom is [name_f]Brenda[/name_f] [name_f]Patricia[/name_f]. Another name on the short list for our last little girl was [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].

Also, I love some of hers suggestions but some are taken by family and friends :(. [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] ([name_u]Josie[/name_u]). But I totally agree - they’re so beautiful. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] had grown on me, but I don’t think it would be an option.

If you love [name_f]Alice[/name_f] would you use [name_f]Alison[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] nn [name_f]Alice[/name_f].

[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] seems like the way to go, for both sides, but I like the freshness of [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Patricia[/name_f] or [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Patricia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] if two names at all a possibility!

I actually hadn’t thought of [name_f]Alison[/name_f]! That might be another’s one to ponder

Hmm, for [name_f]Brenda[/name_f] the only name I can think of that’s really close is [name_f]Breda[/name_f] ([name_f]BREE[/name_f]-da) which is a form of [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], but you could also use another Br- name (like [name_f]Briar[/name_f], [name_u]Bryn[/name_u], or, as mentioned, [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]) or an -nda name ([name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]) if you feel like those are close enough. [name_u]Patrice[/name_u] or [name_f]Patience[/name_f] could work for [name_f]Patricia[/name_f] and I think both of those work really well with your other kids.

I think [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] would be great! Also [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]–I think it’s a good mirror of [name_u]Jerry[/name_u]'s initials, as [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] have mirrored initials, plus it goes perfectly with the other girls.

[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]/e are my favorite options for you. Good luck!
