Looking for baby girl names. I find I love a ton of boy names but not many girl ones.
Siblings are [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] (mostly [name_f]Rosie[/name_f])
I am liking
[name_f]Nellie[/name_f] / [name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucille[/name_f] (although [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is getting pretty popular)
[name_f]Sally[/name_f]
[name_f]Mavis[/name_f]
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f]
Potential middle names - [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] (love - would use as first but do not want mary), [name_f]Fern[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] or something else feminine and nature themed.
If you like [name_f]Nell[/name_f], then how about [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]? I believe [name_f]Nell[/name_f] is a nickname for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] really sounds wonderful with your other children’s names! Particularly like it with [name_f]Iris[/name_f] as a middle name.
From your current list I really like [name_f]Mavis[/name_f] with your other children’s names. I’m quite partial to [name_f]Mavis[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] or [name_f]Mavis[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f].
Some other names you might like:
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u] (a bit of the charm of [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] but without the nn [name_f]Lucy[/name_f])
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Sybil[/name_f]
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
I particularly like [name_f]Cora[/name_f] with your sibset:)
[name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] & [name_f]Cora[/name_f]
Maybe its the recurring “r” sound?
I think you could use [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] as a first and avoid [name_f]Mary[/name_f] as a nickname, the pronounciation is quite different between [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Marigold[/name_f].
Other nns could be; [name_f]Mara[/name_f], [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] or [name_f]Goldie[/name_f]
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f], [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Nell[/name_f]. So sweet!
I like [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] best. What about [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] nn [name_f]Goldie[/name_f]? I doubt she would get [name_f]Mary[/name_f]…
I think [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is too similar to [name_f]Rosie[/name_f].
[name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] are my favorites.
As a mother of a [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] I’ll tell you my experience with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is obviously more common and we’ve met a couple Lucys in my daughter’s 4 years. Not an overwhelming amount, I think 2. No other Lucilles. When we introduce her to new people they automatically assume she goes by [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. My daughter doesn’t go by [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. By her choice. She nicknamed herself [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] and doesn’t seem to relate to the name [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] at all. But we never bother correcting people. They eventually realize she goes by [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] and stop calling her [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. If you want to use the nickname [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] I wouldn’t worry about popularity. If you don’t want to use it know that people naturally will gravitate to that nickname in the beginning. But I definitely have no regrets using it.
