Sibling to Rocco and Cannon

So excited to hear what input you have for our third child. We get so many compliments on our sons names that the pressure to deliver on our third is almost too much. Our last name is Sand which complicates things because I do love word names but many do not work, [name]Storm[/name] Sand, [name]Coral[/name] Sand.

We do not know if we are having a boy or a girl. Our oldest sons name is [name]Rocco[/name] [name]Makai[/name], second son is [name]Cannon[/name] Sohl. (We added the h to sol. Didn’t want to send him to therapy with S-O-L for a middle name).
Names I like for boys but not completely in love with:
[name]Bridger[/name], [name]Oakley[/name], [name]Major[/name], [name]Hugo[/name], [name]Knox[/name], Ledger.

Girl names: used to love [name]Portia[/name], too popular now, Loved [name]Honor[/name] but then heard the “did you get On Her”, [name]Elodie[/name], [name]Lyric[/name], [name]Lux[/name], [name]Pillar[/name], [name]Mercy[/name] (except [name]Madonna[/name] has a son [name]Rocco[/name] and daughter [name]Mercy[/name] and a girlfriend I have wants this name too), and [name]Lennox[/name] I love, but a relative told me they want to use this name. Hate to cause drama. [name]Cozette[/name], [name]Nikita[/name], [name]Isla[/name]

If its a girl I would like to use the middle name Markay, combination of our mothers names or I like the name [name]Lu[/name]. If the name starts with a P we can’t use Markay because the initials would be pms.
[name]Baby[/name] is due [name]July[/name] 24th. [name]Both[/name] of our boys were preemies in the NICU. Praying to make it to [name]July[/name].
Much thanks for any input!

Looks as if you really like double letters in the name! So, here are some names like that.

I think you could use [name]Lennox[/name] as a name for either a boy or girl and it fits your style very well (for a boy you could use (K)nox as a nn too). [name]Elodie[/name] Markay is really nice for a girl.

Some other suggestions:

[name]Rocco[/name], [name]Cannon[/name], and

[name]Rocco[/name], [name]Cannon[/name] and…
brother - [name]Jagger[/name], [name]Levi[/name], [name]Moses[/name], [name]Magnus[/name], [name]Huxley[/name], [name]Dax[/name], [name]Lincoln[/name]
sister - [name]Aria[/name], [name]Paloma[/name], [name]Gemma[/name], [name]Lyra[/name], [name]Nicolette[/name] or [name]Colette[/name]
fyi [name]Isla[/name] Sand doesn’t sound right (Island Sand)
I just realized that [name]Rocco[/name] has 2 c’s and [name]Cannon[/name] has 2 n’s, it might be tough, but it would be cool if the 3rd baby had double letters like that. [name]Phinnaeus[/name] and [name]Tallulah[/name] work.

[name]Gemma[/name] has a nice sound to it, sounds feminine next to your boys, and has the double letters!

[name]Rocco[/name] [name]Makai[/name] / [name]Cannon[/name] Sohl

Girl names: used to love PortiaLoved [name]Honor[/name] [name]Elodie[/name], [name]Lyric[/name], [name]Lux[/name], [name]Pillar[/name], [name]Mercy[/name] and [name]Lennox[/name] I love, [name]Cozette[/name], [name]Nikita[/name], [name]Isla[/name]

If its a girl I would like to use the middle name Markay, combination of our mothers names [name]Lu[/name].

The double letters jumped out at me too…[name]Jett[/name], [name]Navarre[/name], [name]Apollo[/name], [name]Boone[/name], [name]Garrick[/name], [name]Merrick[/name], [name]Dallas[/name] (for either), [name]Fallon[/name], [name]Pepper[/name], [name]Vienna[/name], [name]Farrin[/name]/Ferryn, Trellis

If you think [name]Portia[/name] is getting to popular, then [name]Elodie[/name], [name]Knox[/name], or [name]Isla[/name] may not be it either. All catching on. [name]Hugo[/name] takes away from [name]Rocco[/name] so both lose some of their distinctiveness. Same with [name]Cozette[/name] and [name]Cannon[/name].
Girls- I like [name]Lux[/name] Markay or [name]Nikita[/name] [name]Lu[/name] from your list. For boys, [name]Major[/name] is a GREAT fit.

[name]Rocco[/name] [name]Makai[/name], [name]Cannon[/name] Sohl and

[name]Archer[/name], [name]Dax[/name], [name]Memphis[/name] (either), [name]Fife[/name], [name]Lev[/name], [name]Hart[/name], Frayne

[name]Cricket[/name], [name]Liberty[/name], Merit, [name]Fifer[/name], [name]Greer[/name], [name]Valley[/name]

I really like [name]Bridger[/name] and [name]Hugo[/name]. [name]Mercy[/name] is lovely but I understand not wanting the celebrity connection. I know an Honorlyn who goes by [name]Honor[/name] and that has never been a teasing issue. Also [name]Elodie[/name], [name]Pillar[/name] (though I only like this for a mn) and [name]Cozette[/name] are beautiful.

Wow, love all the suggestions. So funny that I never realized that we had double letters in our boys names. And then [name]Lennox[/name] would be perfect for another reason. If only I hadn’t heard that a relative wants to use this name. Although she is not pregnant.
I agree that [name]Hugo[/name] is out, want to have a different ending sound from the siblings.

If [name]Mercy[/name] is out, what about [name]Merry[/name]? [name]Merry[/name] [name]Lu[/name] is cute and has double letters.
[name]Lennox[/name] does seem perfect with your boys names.
Good luck choosing. Number 3 was a difficult choice for us too

Here are some more ideas-

[name]Just[/name] found the name [name]Lovell[/name] which means dearly loved. My grandmothers name was [name]Luella[/name]. So many great nicknames, [name]Elle[/name], love, [name]Lou[/name]. [name]Lulu[/name]. And it has double letters. What do you think

[name]Luella[/name] is adorable! I am quite fond of it.

I like [name]Lovell[/name]. It’s interesting, somewhat quirky, but still formal enough to serve your daughter well later in life.

I don’t really like the smoosh name Markay. Is one grandmother [name]Kay[/name], and the other [name]Mary[/name]/[name]Maria[/name]/[name]Marlene[/name], etc? What do you think of:

[name]Marika[/name] [cute Slavic form of [name]Mary[/name]]
[name]Marieke[/name] [the Dutch form of [name]Marika[/name], ‘little [name]Mary[/name]’]
[name]Mariska[/name] [like [name]Mariska[/name] Hargitay, the Hungarian form of [name]Marika[/name]]
[name]Makeda[/name] [the supposed name of the mythical [name]Queen[/name] of [name]Sheba[/name]]
[name]Malak[/name] [“angel” in Arabic]
[name]Malika[/name] [‘queen’ in Arabic]
Mariko [“truth child” in Japanese]
[name]Masako[/name] [‘proper child’ in Japanese; current [name]Princess[/name] of Japan]

I think [name]Lovell[/name] + any of these sound great, as they have lots of vowels to balance [name]Lovell[/name]. [name]Lovell[/name] [name]Marika[/name]?
