If I were to have a daughter I’m pretty sure I would name her Louise. I love that it could have a geek chic, grandma, whimsical, cool French girl, or royal vibe. This versatility and the fact that its roots connect to my mother’s name make it my top choice☺️ I also like the nn options (Lou, Lucy, Weezie) and the fact that it’s familiar but not popular. The character on Bobs Burgers kinda makes me like it more and Emma Stone just recently named her baby girl Louise!

I love so many girl’s names, so I know what I’d name a sister:

I do love [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] and [name_u]Julian[/name_u]! I’ve recently started to come around on [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u], I love the nn [name_m]Wells[/name_m]. Ik a baby named [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and it’s such a cute name. I’m starting to realize that so many boys names have been used, especially by friends’ pets😅

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is one of my faves! [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] I really like, their nn options are so cute. And I love [name_u]Rose[/name_u] variations!! [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is so pretty.

The name I’ve been suggesting a ton on here is [name_u]Ellis[/name_u]! It’s a name we’re likely going to use for the baby boy I’m pregnant with. It may or may not be popular depending on where you live, but it’s probably at least a known name :slight_smile:

Out of your list I like [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] the best-It has the same classic, elegant vibe, and my second pick is [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] for the same reason. [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] seem a bit more popular/trendy. I LOVE [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], but it seems too strong for Louise-although I do like how they have similar meanings.
From your boys [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is a lovely under-rated classic that I love, so that would be my fist pick. [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], [name_u]August[/name_u], and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] again are a little too trendy/popular with the relatively uncommon [name_u]Louise[/name_u]. I like [name_m]Simon[/name_m], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], and [name_m]Christopher[/name_m], but [name_m]Peter[/name_m] really clicks for me.

I didn’t like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] or [name_f]Faye[/name_f] for a bit but I think I’m coming around to them! [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is super cute too.

[name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] is a family name that I’m kind of starting to like now that I’ve realized nn could be [name_u]Wren[/name_u]! [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Frederic[/name_m] nn [name_u]Freddie[/name_u], and [name_u]George[/name_u]

Aw, I love that! I wouldn’t want [name_u]Louise[/name_u] to be super popular but I do wish it weren’t so overlooked. I totally agree with the trendiness thing, I’ve been trying to find other names that match the sweet spot [name_u]Louise[/name_u] is in - classic, familiar but not too popular. I think it’s especially hard w boys names. [name_f]My[/name_f] name has a militaristic meaning so I do think [name_u]Louise[/name_u] (renowned warrior) and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] (battle mighty) would be cool together😊

When I was in my teens my fave boy name was [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] nn [name_m]Nate[/name_m]. I still love it but the character from [name_f]Euphoria[/name_f] gives it a bit of a negative connotation for me😫 [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] is super cool too!!

I absolutely love [name_u]Gideon[/name_u]! And in one of my fave movies the Age of [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] the love interest is named [name_u]Ellis[/name_u]. I actually like it better for boys than girls it’s such a great name.
