Sibset Calum and Luca?

Hello,

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I really like the name [name_u]Luca[/name_u]. However our son’s name is [name_m]Calum[/name_m] [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] with a Polish last name. Does [name_u]Luca[/name_u] clash with [name_m]Calum[/name_m]?

I also thought about [name_u]Luka[/name_u], because our last name starts with K and has a ski in it but I think that looks worse with [name_m]Calum[/name_m]

I think both spellings go great with [name_m]Calum[/name_m]! and I think I actually prefer [name_m]Calum[/name_m] & [name_u]Luka[/name_u] bc with the other spelling they look quite similar imo bc they both share a C, A, L & U but honestly both spellings fit great :relieved:

I think even though they share a lot of letters, pronunciation wise [name_m]Calum[/name_m] and [name_u]Luca[/name_u] work just fine!

I think it’s because the only actual sounds they share are the hard C and the L. The A in [name_m]Calum[/name_m] is like the A in “pal”, while the A in [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is more of an “ah” sound like the A in “call.” Likewise, the U in [name_m]Calum[/name_m] is more of an “uh” sound, like the U in “umbrella,” while the U in [name_u]Luca[/name_u] makes an “oo” sound like the U in “suit.”
