Sibset for Della?

Playing around with sibsets. For the name [name_f]Della[/name_f], do you have any suggestions for sibling names (brother names and sister names)?

Possibilities:
BOYS:
Franklin, nn Frank or Frankie
Rowan
William, nn Willy
Martin
Walter
Sullivan

GIRLS:
Isobel, nn Isby <<Edit: misspelled Isobel>>
Elisabeth, nn Lis
Sybil
Sicily (the place-name spelling only. not Cecily)
Frances
Clare
Allis or Allas (which spelling do you prefer? both are said like the name Alice)

Edited the main post. Thoughts?

Maybe I’m not following - if you’re going to pronounce [name_f]Alice[/name_f] as [name_f]Alice[/name_f] why not spell it [name_f]Alice[/name_f]? Are these known alternative spellings or something you want to do [name_m]Just[/name_m] To Be Different? Same for the other uncommon spellings… why?
No offence to you, I just think it makes more sense to use the common/recognizable spelling so you don’t have to correct people all the time.

Anyway, with [name_f]Della[/name_f] I think [name_m]Martin[/name_m] & [name_f]Claire[/name_f] fit best.

Also, I should add I think Isby is a super cute nn for [name_f]Isobel[/name_f].

[name_f]Della[/name_f], and maybe:
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Edith[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Minnie[/name_f]

[name_m]Hugh[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m]
[name_m]Walter[/name_m]
[name_m]Peter[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_m]Alfred[/name_m]

Okay, I’ll admit that Allas is a bit out there. But [name_f]Allis[/name_f] is a recognized alternative spelling, and I like the double letter in it.
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] (Instead of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]) and [name_u]Clare[/name_u] (instead of [name_f]Claire[/name_f]) are also recognized spellings.

The whole [name_f]Sicily[/name_f]/[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] thing is because [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is sometimes pronounced SESS-ily instead of SIS-ily. I hate the sound of Sess-ily. I thought by using the spelling of the place ([name_f]Sicily[/name_f]), it might cut down on other people accidentally using the SESS-ily pronunciation.

I did mess up the spelling of [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. I meant [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. Not [name_f]Isabel[/name_f].

I really like the name [name_m]Walter[/name_m]!

Cecily can only ever be pronounced ‘sess-il-ee’ because of the ‘e’. Cicely, on the other hand, is pronounced like the place and is a legitimate name and spelling. Perhaps you’d be happier using that?

I didn’t know that!–Thanks!

[name_f]Della[/name_f] is great! It’s got sass.
From your list of girl’s names, I think [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] works perfectly.
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] nn Isby is adorable! I love it!
If you want to spell [name_f]Alice[/name_f] a different way, there is the Welsh, [name_f]Alys[/name_f]. Your spellings remind me of the word alas. I feel like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] doesn’t go with [name_f]Della[/name_f] very well anyway.
[name_f]Della[/name_f] is not a common name, so I think something else that is uncommon and is sassy will sound best as a sister sibset.
Same goes with the boys. [name_m]Martin[/name_m] or [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] would work well with [name_f]Della[/name_f].
