Middle name is set as it is a family name. Our daughter is [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f].
I am loving the uniqueness of Elowyn (hubby prefers the spelling with a “y”) but am concerned it is too similar to [name_f]Isla[/name_f] in pronunciation? Especially since she will likely have a NN ([name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f]…neither of which I’m fond of).
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] is classic (and also a family name) but maybe too simple?
And [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] was our second choice for our first daughter.
My favorite in flow is Elowyn [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], tho I’d prefer the look of [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and Elowyn sound fine together - also especially with this spelling, you might be inclined to use [name_f]Wynnie[/name_f] as a nickname? [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f] are the ones that struck me as too similar initially since they are both 2 syllables ending in -a. All 3 are nice tho.
From your list I like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. I do feel that [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is too similar to [name_f]Isla[/name_f] though. I would suggest [name_f]Aviva[/name_f].
I like the combo of [name_f]Isla[/name_f] & [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]/Elowyn.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about Lo, Loee, [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], [name_u]Wynn[/name_u]/[name_u]Wynne[/name_u], or [name_f]El[/name_f]/[name_f]Elle[/name_f] as nicknames?
I agree with others, I prefer the [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] spelling, but either way, it’s such a gorgeous name. I was going to say you could use [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] as a nickname also.
I think [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is a great sibling name for [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f], but personally I love Elowyn [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. But I can see how [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f] may be confusing. The nickname [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] would work much better.
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] is sweet and goes well with [name_f]Isla[/name_f], but I’m not a fan of it paired with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. My favorite of your three is Elowyn. I think it’s absolutely adorable and fits great with [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. Though I agree, the nn [name_f]Ella[/name_f] might be too similar to [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. If she needs a nickname, I’d push for [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or [name_u]Wyn[/name_u] or [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]. But she doesn’t necessarily need a nickname if you aren’t too fond of them.
I agree. All 3 options are beautiful and go nicely with your first daughter’s name, but imo [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] have too many similar sounds and I think the -a ending on [name_f]Eva[/name_f] means that it doesn’t flow as nicely with the Au- of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] as the other 2. Also, although [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is a gorgeous name (possibly my favourite girls’ name), it is incredibly popular and sounds a lot like several other popular choices ([name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f]) which might end up being quite confusing in the playground/classroom.
I would go with Elowyn (I think this spelling is fine if you like it - let’s face it, she’ll probably have to spell her name a lot anyway) and just try to steer clear of [name_f]Ella[/name_f] as a nn, which is a bit too close to [name_f]Isla[/name_f] imo. [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Wynnie[/name_f] and all the other suggestions people have already given are fine though.
