Sibset thoughts and suggestions

My husband and I agreed so quickly and easily on our first sons name, [name]August[/name] [name]James[/name] nn [name]Gus[/name], but can’t agree on ANY others! It is very important to me to have names that “go together” stylewise. [name]Gus[/name] is old feeling to me, and I want the others to feel that way as well. My choices for boys are:
[name]Henry[/name], [name]Oscar[/name], [name]Jack[/name], [name]Louis[/name], [name]Max[/name], [name]Oliver[/name]
My husband’s choices: [name]George[/name], [name]William[/name]
My choices for girls:
[name]Matilda[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Hattie[/name], [name]Vivienne[/name], [name]Lucy[/name]
My husband’s choices: [name]Ruby[/name]
Thoughts??? Which names sound the best with [name]Gus[/name]? Any other suggestions I haven’t thought of? Thanks!!

What about [name]Earnest[/name]? Not common, but has a similar feel to [name]August[/name] with super cute [name]Ernie[/name] as an option.

I like [name]Oscar[/name] from your list, but the sound seems too close to [name]August[/name].

Or [name]Bernard[/name] nn [name]Bernie[/name].

I like [name]Matilda[/name] nn [name]Tilly[/name] from your list, but [name]Ruby[/name] is lovely too.

What about [name]Winnifred[/name] nn [name]Winnie[/name]?

I think Oscar has the same feel as August/Gus, but like kala_way said, the beginning sound is too similar to August. I like Henry, nn hank would be adorable with Gus. I like George as well, but then you have repeating initials with George and Gus (something I like to avoid, I don’t know why). I also Like Oliver nn Ollie and Gus.

Out of your girl’s names I like Matilda, Eloise, Eliza, Vivienne and Hattie though I would put Harriett on the birth certificate. Harriet and August would be awesome and there would be continuity of them both having a full name and a nn. Matilda and Eliza are probably my favorites with August/Gus. The sassy, spunky Ruby is cute with Gus, but would put you in a different direction stylistically than your other name choices, which are more elegant and formal.
