[name_f]My[/name_f] two favorite names are [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] and [name_u]Edward[/name_u]. If I were to name siblings that…would that be odd? I just ask because I was watching pretty woman the other night and the love interests have those names and it’s such an iconic movie…thoughts?
not at all, they go together well. and ive no idea what movie it is, so i think its just fine
I agree with the previous replier, I don’t think it’s a big deal. I’ve heard of the movie, but never watched it and had no idea about the characters. They are beautiful names, and I say go for it!
as someone who doesn’t really watch films, I’m probably not the best person to answer, but I wouldn’t have known that, even just through ‘pop culture’ refs. They fit stylistically
I’ve heard of the movie, but I’ve never seen it. I’m doubtful it’ll be a forever classic, really, based on its themes and portrayal of women. I think it’s fine to name siblings [name_u]Edward[/name_u] and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]!
i think it’s fine !! they’re both solid classics, and well matched by style. even though i’m familiar with pretty woman, i didn’t make the association until you spelt it out. even then, my reaction was more like “oh yeah i guess those are their names” and not “of course!”. i think they make a lovely set, and you’re unlikely to have any problems despite the connection.
I think it’s fine. They’re both relatively common names. Most people aren’t going to make the connection.
I have watched the movie (twice!) but I’d completely forgotten that [name_m]Richard[/name_m] Gere’s character was called [name_u]Edward[/name_u].
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] & [name_u]Edward[/name_u] sound fantastic together! Both such great names. I’m particularly fond of [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], which sounds so fresh & full of joie de vivre!
I watched [name_f]Pretty[/name_f] Woman years ago, but had completely forgotten what the characters were called. I don’t think the name pair in itself has become iconically memorable, the way certain other names from classic films are, so I’d say go ahead & use this lovely sibset!
