Sibsets that make you cringe?

I know I shouldn’t be judging someone’s name choices because they love the name, but sometimes I will just hear siblings names and want to face palm myself. The most recent one is. [name_u]Jordyn[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] and [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is just so sweet and girly and then [name_u]Jordyn[/name_u] I just see as a Boy name I hate it on girls, but next to the very feminine [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] I just cringe.

Are there any girl sibsets you have heard that you just sigh at and want to rename the children? Lol

[name_u]Jordyn[/name_u] and [name_u]Jadyn[/name_u]. Twin girls… Think about it. [name_f]Imagine[/name_f] how confusing it would be for family/friends…

[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_m]Edward[/name_m]… just why? Makes me think the parents just looked at the ssa popular names list and used the first two they saw which happened to be the two top spots.

I have others, I just can’t think of any right now.

I have a friend whose three girls are named [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], and [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. Waaaaaaaay too popular, too popular still, and ridiculously popular.

Then there’s another friend who is expecting her second girl and naming her [name_u]Addison[/name_u]. The oldest daughter’s name is [name_f]Brooklynne[/name_f]. Too matchy, matchy [name_f]IMO[/name_f].

I thought of more:

[name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u], [name_u]London[/name_u], and [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] (first two are girls) were neighbors of mine. I don’t mind the names separately, but they’re just way too matchy together. And [name_u]London[/name_u] and [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] are too close for siblings (they weren’t twins).

[name_f]My[/name_f] mom has a friend at work who named her twins [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] which made me cringe. I hate both names (both are too popular) and I also know a pretty rotten girl named [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. I also know a lot of nice [name_f]Emma[/name_f]'s but she ruined the name for me. Plus the names are just too darn close!

I used to babysit for sisters named [name_f]Karly[/name_f] and [name_f]Karina[/name_f], wayyyy too close for sisters.

I know a family of 5-ish (honestly I only met them briefly, there may have been more) and I can’t fully remember all their names but they’re all in the lines of [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], [name_u]Elias[/name_u], [name_f]Elicia[/name_f] and [name_u]Elisha[/name_u]. Literally that similar. They’re all adorable though, their dad is Nigerian. But I can’t for the life of me understand how they manage to say the right names to every child especially with that many, how can they possibly keep track?!

At least they’re all nice names.

[name_f]My[/name_f] mum knows somebody with twins [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] (!!!)

I know identical twins who have a [name_m]French[/name_m] mother. One had a short, very English name and the other had the long and thoroughly [name_m]French[/name_m] [name_m]Guillaume[/name_m] which just seemed mismatched to me, but I suppose they were honouring both sides of the family. I’ve also seen a birth announcement with siblings Att!cus, [name_m]Ignat[/name_m]!us, Octav!us and Pt0lemy which I feel is [name_m]OTT[/name_m] and lopsided myself.

I know a [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] and [name_m]Alessandro[/name_m]. I think they’re family names from either side of the family, but it always makes me go “huh…?”

I know of a family with [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f], [name_f]Kylee[/name_f], and [name_u]Keely[/name_u]. Can you imagine the confusion?
I really hate it when one child has a fabulous name and the other is terribly trendy, like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Kinsley[/name_f].

Oh my that is beautiful ”

Twins: [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_m]Paul[/name_m] (two little dicky birds)

Also sisters: [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Millie[/name_f] (aren’t they the same name?)

[name_f]Emily[/name_f] and [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]. By far the most matchy sibset / twinset I know. At least they go by [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] and [name_f]Lia[/name_f], but it is still way way way too close.

Sisters Kalyna and [name_f]Kayla[/name_f] (their twin older brothers are [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]).

[name_f]Sienna[/name_f], [name_f]Caleigh[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_m]Liam[/name_m]. They just seem so random.

To balance these out, I know an excellently named family of four girls: Sabine, Simone, Elodie and Ines.

When I was much younger, I went to summer camp with two sisters named [name_f]Summer[/name_f] and [name_f]Stormy[/name_f]. The worst part? Their last name was [name_m]Knight[/name_m]. No joke. I felt terrible for them, even as a kid!

[name_f]Ava[/name_f] and [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] are sisters. So. Awful.

A boy called [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Daniels[/name_m] with no middle name and he had a sister named [name_f]Brandy[/name_f]. I really like the name [name_m]Jack[/name_m] but it turns out the parents love [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Daniels[/name_m] hence choosing their son to have no middle name.
