[name_u]Ever[/name_u] come across some sibsets that didn’t make sense at all? What were they? For example my daughter has a friend named [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (no nn, just [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]) who’s sisters are called [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Rylea[/name_f]. Where did [name_f]Rylea[/name_f] come from???
And other siblings we know
[name_f]Greta[/name_f]
[name_m]John[/name_m]
[name_u]Parker[/name_u] ([name_u]Parker[/name_u] is a girl)
My brother & sister are [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] and [name_f]Amanda[/name_f]. Then I’m [name_u]Shilo[/name_u]… I’m from my mom’s 2nd marriage though and my dad was a little odd. Sometimes when I hear weird sibsets, I wonder if maybe they’re named polar opposites for the same reason I was. Different fathers, marriages, etc.
A friend of a friend had twins, named [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_m]William[/name_m]. She only calls poor [name_m]William[/name_m] by his nickname, [name_m]Wills[/name_m]. So when calling for her twins, she says “[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Wills[/name_m]!”. And for anybody not familiar with [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Wills[/name_m], it is a ‘designer’ clothes brand. If that wasn’t bad enough, the lady went on to have two more children, ‘conveniently’ girls, named [name_f]Hollie[/name_f] and [name_f]Star[/name_f]. When you say them together it sounds like Hollister. So, this lady named her kid after [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Wills[/name_m] and Hollister. Oh dear.
EDIT: Also, 3 brothers called Faith, Goodness and Charity. Eugh.
I know someone who have six kids: a girl, a boy, a girl, [name_m]Andreas[/name_m], a girl and [name_u]Andrea[/name_u]. I mean, that’s just unfair isn’t it? That’s basically the same name. I was dumbfounded when I heard little [name_u]Andrea[/name_u]'s name.
I don’t know what my parents were thinking when they plopped my name right into their sibset. I just think [name_f]Catalina[/name_f] is pretty out-of-place with two names like [name_u]Owen[/name_u] & [name_f]Fiona[/name_f].
I have 10 siblings, and almost none of our names go together. I guess it was hard to find 11 names that fit, and that you liked but seriously they are totally different. This is from oldest to youngest by the way.

[name_u]Courtney[/name_u] (g) and [name_f]Natasha[/name_f] is one that I’ve always found strange… [name_f]Natasha[/name_f] is a pretty, feminine Russian name, while [name_u]Courtney[/name_u] is unisex and American (to me, at least).
For random, out-of-place sibs, I have to refer to a family I know. [name_m]Chance[/name_m] (g), [name_m]Lance[/name_m] and [name_m]Vance[/name_m] (identical twins), and [name_m]Beau[/name_m]. I also know brothers named [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Rusty[/name_m]. Not too bad, but still a little out of place.
@sha, @sher, @shley, @shton and [name_f]Christi[/name_f]@nna. Poor thing is five years younger than the closest one to her and gets left out of the “A Team” at family gatherings!
I knew a woman who had 4 kids named [name_f]Brylee[/name_f], [name_u]Ari[/name_u]@nna, S@vannah, and [name_f]Christi[/name_f]@n.
[name_f]Brylee[/name_f] was the first born and her mother was 15. I have always wondered what happens when you mature out of one naming style but leave your child in it. Poor [name_f]Brylee[/name_f] doesn’t fit in.
Brother and [name_f]Sister[/name_f] [name_f]Angela[/name_f] & LaRoo! Really LaRoo on a man.
[name_f]Trinity[/name_f], [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u], [name_m]Xavier[/name_m], and [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]. I feel as though [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] is a sweet wholesome name as where the others are edgy!
[name_u]Courtney[/name_u] & [name_f]Diana[/name_f]. [name_f]Diana[/name_f] seems like an older name compared to [name_u]Courtney[/name_u].
I had a mate in primary school called [name_u]Storm[/name_u]; when I went to her birthday party I remember meeting her cousins - twins called Maiko (pronounced My-Ko) and [name_m]Mango[/name_m] (like the fruit) and their (then baby) sister [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. I didn’t get past the twins crazy names at the time, so it wasn’t till later I realised that [name_f]Lily[/name_f] didn’t quite ‘match’
I have a friend called [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] whose older brother is [name_m]Bruno[/name_m]… I wonder what their parents would call a third child (perhaps Breno/ [name_f]Brena[/name_f]?).
I think my dad and his siblings are also a bit mismatched: [name_m]Onofre[/name_m], Odenir, Odjair, Odete, [name_m]Fernando[/name_m] and [name_m]Manoel[/name_m].
