So, after having a girl name set in stone for close to 2 years now, I fell in love with [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] this week. But … none of my combos work with [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]. I need help!
I tend to like one-syllable middle names that lean towards vintage without being stuffy. My DS is [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u]. His name is so spunky and fits him so well, and I am looking for something that packs the same kind of punch.
Go-to middle has been [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (family name) but I feel the soft G/J combo just sounds like a little much. I also like [name_f]Kate[/name_f], but I’m not sure of it with [name_f]Georgia[/name_f].
Also, I am having trouble since so many one syllable names tend to be noun names, and I’m not sold on those working with [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] either. ([name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]/[name_f]Belle[/name_f], for example. It just sounds like a description and not a name.) I like [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] (so southern!) and [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is a family name that DH has consistently shot down for the past 4 years.
I think [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is pretty, personally. [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is lovely, too bad your husband doesn’t like [name_f]Louise[/name_f]…
I like [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]!! Very pretty. The name [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is nice and strong and punchy with [name_f]Georgia[/name_f].
I agree that [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is a bit of a tongue tripper.
While I like the sound of [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] it sounds like a pagent or something to me.
For the record I like [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] but if you want something else how about [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]?
I agree about [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] sounding like a pageant, haha. Now all I can see is [name_f]Honey[/name_f] [name_u]Boo[/name_u] [name_u]Boo[/name_u].
What is the correct pronunciation of [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]?
I am not closed off to options that are more than one syllable, btw. At this point I’m looking for anything. I’m not sure why I’m having such a hard time with this.
I think [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is pretty, and it’s too bad your partner doesn’t like [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]! It’s so lovely! What about [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Maud[/name_f] or [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f]? [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Helen[/name_f]? [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]? [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]'s such a wonderful name–good luck on your search!
I’m swooning over [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Bess[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Maud[/name_f]. [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Helen[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] are pretty too. I think [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] feels modern enough to carry a more old-fashioned name.
I love [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. Maybe if your husband hears how nice it goes with [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], he’ll reconsider? [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] kate is really nice too, and I like [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Bess[/name_f] but that is probably my least favorite of the 3.
