Sigmund or Zigmund?

I really hope you guys aren’t sick of me yet  I was hoping my previous post would be my last but I am still stressing out about our boy name. Firstly do you prefer [name_m]Sigmund[/name_m] or [name_m]Zigmund[/name_m]? I feel like when I say the names the “S” and “Z” are very similar to me so the major difference would be the spelling what do you guys think?
Also I do not care much for the nickname [name_m]Ziggy[/name_m] although it wouldn’t bother me if that’s what he wanted to be called. I plan to call him by his full name 90% of the time though I would probably call him [name_m]Iggy[/name_m] on occasion. [name_m]Ziggy[/name_m] sounds too hipster to me.

The other names on our list include:
[name_m]Brahm[/name_m] - I want to love the name but it’s too short to be a first name in my opinion, as me, my husband and daughter all have longer names.
[name_m]Otis[/name_m]- still a short name but a little better since it has two syllables
[name_u]August[/name_u] - Like the name and would like auggie for short but feel [name_u]August[/name_u] is becoming trendy
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] - a good ol’ classic name but almost not special enough for our little guy

We really love old fashioned names that are rarely heard. Something unique but not too weird but also not trendy. [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] was an absolute favorite of mine but too similar to his sister’s name.
I’m totally open to suggestions but have yet to hear or see a name I haven’t already heard of. Please help! thanks!

I definitely prefer [name_m]Zigmund[/name_m], though they’re both cool.

(Btw, my go-to nn for [name_m]Zigmund[/name_m] would be [name_m]Ingo[/name_m] - bit of a stretch but I love him! [name_m]Iggy[/name_m]'s really cute, though.)

I prefer [name_m]Zigmund[/name_m]. I love [name_u]August[/name_u] from your list.

[name_m]Zigmund[/name_m] (I love [name_m]Iggy[/name_m], [name_m]Ziggy[/name_m] and [name_m]Ingo[/name_m]!), and I also love [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_m]Otis[/name_m].

[name_m]How[/name_m] about Ignas or [name_m]Idris[/name_m]?

I like [name_m]Sigmund[/name_m]! To me [name_m]Zigmund[/name_m] looks like a trendy spelling.

[name_m]Zigmund[/name_m] only if you like [name_m]Ziggy[/name_m]!
So I’d say [name_m]Sigmund[/name_m]. [name_m]Iggy[/name_m] is cool.
I like [name_m]Otis[/name_m] from your other options
Suggestions?
[name_m]Luther[/name_m]
[name_u]Dexter[/name_u]
[name_m]Griffin[/name_m]
[name_m]Huxley[/name_m]
Loxley
Good luck!

Not a fan of [name_m]Sigmund[/name_m]/[name_m]Zigmund[/name_m], sorry. What about [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] instead? From your other names I do like [name_u]August[/name_u] though I do know it’s becoming trendy.

Suggestions:
[name_u]Marley[/name_u]
[name_m]Winston[/name_m]
[name_m]Rufus[/name_m]
[name_m]Phineas[/name_m]
[name_m]Orson[/name_m]

I prefer [name_m]Sigmund[/name_m]

I’m torn between the two, but I think I like [name_m]Sigmund[/name_m] a tiny bit better. [name_m]Zigmund[/name_m] looks like a modern creative spelling to me and I’m not a fan of the letter z, but it stays further away from the Freud connection. Only [name_m]Ziggy[/name_m] would make me vote for [name_m]Zigmund[/name_m], but you said you don’t like it and it could still work for [name_m]Sigmund[/name_m]. I also love [name_u]August[/name_u] ([name_m]Augustus[/name_m] and [name_m]Augusten[/name_m]/[name_m]Augustin[/name_m] are good variations) and [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]

[name_m]Sigmund[/name_m] sounds better to me.
