I love this name, and its woodsy forresty meaning but I can’t help but worry it’ll become too popular. I feel like my name was too popular growing up ([name]Tina[/name]) and it often annoyed me, but I knew it could be much worse than that. I knew about 5-6 other [name]Tina[/name]'s before graduating high school, and have obviously only met more since. I don’t like meeting people with the same name as me. My husbands name is even more common, but he doesn’t mind. I guess I feel like popularity of a name is more of an issue for girls than boys.
What are peoples general feelings about this name, and predictions about its future? If it doesn’t become much more common I’d be ok with that but its on the brim of top 100 names as it is. I like vintage but quirky names with a modern nick name. In this case, [name]Silas[/name] can be [name]Sy[/name] for short.
I really can’t see it becoming overly popular. I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Silas[/name], cannot understand for the life of me why my partner doesn’t like it. I continually bring it up to see if the opinion will change but it never does. [name]Love[/name] [name]Sy[/name] as a nickname too.
I think it is growing in popularity but won’t get crazy popular. I too like it but DH does not. [name]Si[/name]/[name]Sy[/name] is a cute nn too!

Sounds like we’re all thinking similar things lol. DH didn’t like it at first but once he saw it spelled out and read about it, he is warming up to it.
[name]Silas[/name] is a great name. The woodsy feel is what I like about it too. The only reason it isn’t on my list is because [name]Silas[/name] lacks a certain substance in sound. I don’t love names that are all “light” letters, if that makes sense.
