I’m looking for a name with a similar vibe as [name_f]Hana[/name_f] (as Hah-na, not Hannah). I don’t want [name_f]Hana[/name_f] in particular, but there’s a sound/feeling about it that I like. However, [name_f]Hana[/name_f] doesn’t feel right, but nothing else does either. No sibling names to worry about.
Other names I considered but scraped were [name_u]Noa[/name_u], [name_u]Jude[/name_u], & [name_f]Gali[/name_f]. I strongly considered [name_u]Noa[/name_u]. Open to feminine, gender neutral, slightly masculine. Not too modern (e.g. Mila) or too common is a must. Not longer than 6 letters would be great, but not a must.
[name_u]Tali[/name_u] and [name_f]Mara[/name_f] are nice! I’ll definitely consider those two! [name_u]Ari[/name_u] is a name I like too, but I already used it for a horse. haha
I’ve loved [name_f]Willa[/name_f] ever since I first read [name_f]Rilla[/name_f] of Ingleside, but it won’t work for my situation. I do like [name_f]Mira[/name_f] though!
I actually adore [name_f]Yana[/name_f], but with the spelling [name_f]Jana[/name_f]. I just don’t know if that’s too confusing for others. I really dislike the American pronunciation, Jan-a.
Yeah when people see a J in a name if its not like [name_f]Sonja[/name_f] or [name_f]Alicja[/name_f] and can actually be pronounced with a J americans usually do that so that might be to confusing and similar to [name_f]Jane[/name_f], I knew a [name_f]Yana[/name_f] and I adored her name, [name_f]Jana[/name_f] is also a Arabic name thats pronounced with the J sound
Some other suggestions with similar sounds are [name_f]Tara[/name_f], [name_f]Sara[/name_f], [name_f]Mara[/name_f], [name_f]Mira[/name_f], [name_f]Lana[/name_f], [name_u]Rana[/name_u] is also a pretty name, [name_f]Vanna[/name_f]
I actually know 3 girls named [name_f]Jana[/name_f] (though distantly now), 2 were yah-na, one was jan-a. I am considering both [name_f]Mara[/name_f] and [name_f]Mira[/name_f] though.
