Sister for Anna & Charlotte

[name]Baby[/name] #3 is on the way and it’s another girl! We’ve narrowed it down to [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Jane[/name]. I love both names, but have a small reservation with both.

I worry that [name]Lucy[/name] is too “cutesy.” I’m having a hard time imagining a 30-year-old adult named [name]Lucy[/name].

Then I worry that [name]Jane[/name] is too serious and not happy enough.

Last, I love it when family names go together. Which one fits with big sisters more??

THANKS!

I adore [name]Lucy[/name] with [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name], perfection!

My mother is [name]Lucille[/name] always called [name]Lucy[/name]. She’s 56 and it absolutely still works

I think both are absolutely perfect with [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name]! [name]Lucy[/name] doesn’t seem cutesy to me at all, and you can always liven [name]Jane[/name] up with a frilly middle name-- [name]Jane[/name] [name]Magnolia[/name], [name]Jane[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name], [name]Jane[/name] [name]Melisande[/name], etc. I think you should wait and see which one she looks like, because you really can’t go wrong with either!

I think they both are lovely names! I know a few grown up Lucys and I think its an excellent name!

[name]Lucy[/name]! I love that it is two syllables like [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name], and it has a different end-sound. [name]Anna[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], and [name]Lucy[/name] all feel classic, whimsical, playful, and sweet while still being elegant, sophisticated, and romantic. [name]Love[/name] it!

I love [name]Lucy[/name] with [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name]!

I don’t think its too cutesy either but, you could use:

[name]Lucille[/name]
[name]Lucinda[/name]

But I much prefer just [name]Lucy[/name]! Good [name]Luck[/name]

I think that [name]Lucy[/name] fits perfectly with [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name]! and I agree with a PP (previous poster) that it ages well, moreso than [name]Jane[/name] I think.

[name]Lucy[/name] is perfect with [name]Anna[/name] & [name]Charlotte[/name]

[name]Lucy[/name] fits better with [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] imo. I think [name]Lucy[/name] ages just fine. [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Jane[/name] would be a cute combo.

[name]Anna[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], and [name]Lucy[/name] are perfection.

I think [name]Lucy[/name] goes together the best, I know a lot of people over 30 with the name [name]Lucy[/name] also.

I think [name]Anna[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name] is a wonderful sib-set.

I think both names are lovely but I tend to lean more towards [name]Jane[/name] (it’s my middle name and I love it :)).

I don’t know if you liek using nn on your children but it’s worth mentioning that [name]Janey[/name]/[name]Janie[/name] is a super cute nn for [name]Jane[/name] that could just make it that little bit more fun on a young child.

Either way though I don’t think you can go wrong because both names are lovely, and for what it’s worth I know a few 20 something year old [name]Lucy[/name]'s and the name works fine on them

Thanks! That’s exactly what I look for when it comes to a name…cute and fun during childhood, but elegant and sophisticated as an adult. I also like how [name]Anna[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name] have different ending sounds.

Thanks!! I have also always loved the name [name]Leah[/name] and almost named our oldest [name]Leah[/name], but my sister beat me to it.

Thanks! That’s great to hear. I’ve been leaning towards [name]Lucy[/name] more and it’s good to hear others think it works well for an adult. I’m running into little [name]Lucy[/name]'s here and there and think it’s adorable, but I’ve never met an adult named [name]Lucy[/name].
